Sunday — The American flag outside Pullman Park was stolen sometime overnight. The unknown thief cut the rope to the flag pole in back of the park to get the flag, valued at $100.Sunday — Someone overnight threw a bunch of tomatoes onto a woman's car outside her home in the 200 block of College Street. The tomato barrage caused about $500 in damage to the car's paint finish.

6:30 a.m. Sunday — Rebekah D. McCorkle, 19, of Saxonburg lost control of her car, struck a guardrail, crossed over the road and hit a house at Saxonburg Boulevard and McKay Road in Clinton Township. No one was hurt. Police said McCorkle was cited for a lane violation.4:20 p.m. Saturday — A car driven by Roger Fallecker, 55, of Butler rear-ended another car on Route 68 just west of Center Drive in Oakland Township. He told police the crash happened when he was distracted by a bicyclist on the side of the road.Police said Fallecker was cited for driving at an unsafe speed. Robin Ashcraft, 51, of Chicora was the other driver.July 18 — Clothing, DVDs and food were reportedly taken in a burglary at a Maple Manor trailer home on Route 173 in Brady Township.

9:45 p.m. Friday — Kevin Brunner, 44, of Ford City was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Route 422 near Red Mill Road in Manor Township.2:35 p.m. Friday — Two people were injured when a sport utility vehicle driven by Larry Crawford, 66, of Worthington crashed and rolled down an embankment on Route 422 in West Franklin Township. Crawford and his passenger, Clarence R. Toy, 69, of Kittanning, both were wearing seat belts and suffered minor injuries.Police said Crawford lost control of the SUV when the utility trailer it was towing began to weave side to side.10:05 a.m. Friday — Christian T. Davis, 42, of Ford City was hurt when the car he was driving rear-ended another car at Route 422 and the Route 66 on-ramp in Manor Township. Davis, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered minor injuries. Gerald M. Stover Jr., 44, of New Bethlehem was the other driver.

5:05 p.m. Friday — Two people were hurt in a four-vehicle, chain-reaction accident on Harlansburg Road just west of Village Drive in Scott Township.The crash happened, police said, when a pickup truck driven by Davis C. Dimit, 18, of Slippery Rock struck the back of a car driven by Angela E. Buszinski, 49, of Slippery Rock. The collision pushed the car into the back of a car driven by Mary C. Papp, 47, of Slippery Rock, which in turn forced Papp's car into the rear of a sport utility vehicle driven by Nikita M. Falen, 19, of Ellwood City.Buszinski and Papp, who were wearing seat belts, both suffered minor injuries. Police said Dimit was cited for careless driving.
