1:07 p.m. Wednesday — Cars driven by Kaylaa Chupka, 24, of Butler and Kevin P. Hansotte, 50, of Summit Township collided at East Penn and North Cedar streets.11:22 p.m. July 18 — Steven Lee Adams, 18, of Butler was arrested after police spotted him and a 17-year-old boy allegedly dealing drugs in a car at a convenience store parking lot on Pillow Street.A search of the car, according to a police report, turned up 27 grams of marijuana and a prescription painkiller.Adams, who is free on $1,500 bail, is charged with felony and misdemeanor drug possession. The boy, who police did not identify, faces similar charges in juvenile court.8:33 p.m. July 17 — A car driven by Richard S. McDevitt, 43, of Karns City struck another vehicle on South Main Street in front of the American Legion. McDevitt told police he lost control of his car when the brakes failed. Gary Brothers, 59, of Summit Township was the other driver.After the collision, police said, McDevitt's car struck another vehicle that was parked in the legion's lot. Police said he was cited for driving with an expired vehicle registration.

1:45 a.m. Wednesday — Jonathan Daugherty, 22, of New Brighton, Beaver County, allegedly spit at and threatened to kill a police officer after he was arrested on Grandview Boulevard in connection with an earlier disturbance at Cav's Place on Bessemer Avenue in Lyndora.Daugherty is accused of breaking a window at the bar. Officers later found him on Grandview Boulevard, where the alleged confrontation with police happened.In all, he is charged with aggravated assault, terroristic threats, public drunkenness and criminal mischief. He was arraigned and later placed in the Butler County Prison on $15,000 bail.Tuesday — Police are investigating an apparent prank overnight at a home on Bramble Avenue in Meridian. The unknown pranksters placed numerous assorted lawn ornaments, reflectors, realty and other signs, PennDOT cones, plastic cups and other items in the yard.Police said most of those items placed at the home came from other nearby properties.Anyone with information about the incident or anyone with missing property from their homes is asked to call police at 724-285-9600.

Wednesday — An undetermined amount of cigarettes and cigars were stolen in an early morning burglary at a business in the 600 block of West Main Street.Wednesday — Deborah J. Smith, 42, of Grove City faces a criminal charge for allegedly making repeated nuisance calls to the 911 center on the Fourth of July. Police said Smith was intoxicated when she made the calls. She is charged with misdemeanor harassment.July 12 — An Apple iPod was stolen from a vehicle in an overnight theft in the 300 block of Lincoln Avenue.

11:43 p.m. Wednesday — A car driven by Lorraine L. Cole, 50, of Butler crashed into mailboxes and a guardrail along Main Street Extension just northwest of Pine Drive in Center Township. Police said Cole faces a ticket for disregarding traffic lanes.10:30 p.m. Wednesday—Michael Frederick, 46, of Evans City was arrested after allegedly assaulting a woman during an altercation at a home on Margaret Avenue in Forward Township. Frederick was placed in the Butler County Prison to await arraignment on charges of simple assault and harassment.4:30 p.m. Wednesday — Patricia M. Decker, 33, of Grove City was hurt when she swerved her car to avoid a squirrel in the road, and crashed into a tree along Branchton Road in Cherry Township. Decker, who was not wearing a seat belt, suffered minor injuries. Police said she was cited for a lane violation.8:20 a.m. Wednesday — Randall L. Munger, 44, of Boyers was hurt when he crashed the motorcycle he was driving on Prospect Road just south of Upper Harmony Road in Forward Township. Munger, who was wearing a helmet, was taken to UPMC Passavant Cranberry with minor injuries. Police said he was cited for driving at an unsafe speed.11:30 p.m. Tuesday — Ron Miano Jr., 45, of Slippery Rock was allegedly drunk when the motorcycle he was driving crashed into a mailbox on North Road in Franklin Township. He allegedly left the crash scene. Police said Miano faces charges of driving under the influence and hit-and-run.7:30 p.m. Friday — A car driven by Lindsay A. Kiskadden, 26, of Shippenvile, Clarion County, struck a speed awareness monitor on Interstate 79 in Jackson Township and did not stop. Police said Kiskadden was later found and cited for hit-and-run, driving at an unsafe speed, careless driving and a lane violation.

12:47 p.m. Monday — Edward A. Best, 66, of Parker was hurt when the pickup truck he was driving struck another pickup on Canoe Ripple Road, just east of Knight School Road in Beaver Township. Best, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken to Clarion Hospital with moderate injuries.Best was cited for driving on the wrong side of the road. Anthony K. Stout, 43, of Patriot, Ohio, was the other driver.

Wednesday — An unknown vandal spray painted obscenities on the driver's side door of a Grove City woman's sport utility vehicle in the parking lot at Premium Outlets on Route 208 in Springfield Township. The vandalism happened between 10:30 p.m. Tuesday and 12:40 a.m. Wednesday.
