Butler Police1:43 a.m. June 29 — Dawna A. Draper, 33, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after her car struck another car parked on South Monroe Street. Draper drove away after the crash, police said.In addition to DUI, Draper is charged with hit-and-run and careless driving.

State Police, Butler1:41 p.m. Tuesday — An SUV driven by Rudolph Novotny, 71, of Edinboro hit a guardrail along Interstate 79 in Worth Township after the right front tire blew out.July 4 — A piece of fitness equipment at Petrolia Park was knocked over and damaged between 11:30 p.m. July 1 and 8:20 p.m. July 4. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call police at 724-284-8100.

State Police, Kittanning6:44 a.m. Tuesday — Lonnie Carpenter, 59, of Buckhannon, W.Va., was charged with driving under the influence of a controlled substance, drug possession and possession of drug paraphernalia after police found him passed out in the driver’s seat of his idling vehicle along Route 28 in East Franklin Township.A drug recognition test indicated he was under the influence of a controlled substance.Tuesday — Police are investigating the death of Samuel Hile, 24, of Karns City while he was staying overnight at a Bradys Bend Township residence. Although the Armstrong County Coroner’s office is performing an autopsy, there are no indications of foul play.
