Rose Virgili

Rose Virgili of Butler celebrated her 95th birthday with a family dinner at the Butler Country Club.

The former Rose DeCecco was born on July 15, 1917, in Butler. She married the late Jack Virgili on Sept. 25, 1936, at St. Michael Roman Catholic Church.

She has five children, Jacqueline Knepshield of Bethesda, Md., Carol Rosewag of Martinsburg, W. Va., and Raymond Virgili, Phyllis Kosar and Mary Jo Sylvia, all of Butler.

She also has 15 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

She still enjoys cooking for her family and is a keen card player.

Virgili was employed by Bantam Jeep Factory and the Spaide Shirt Factory.

She is a member of St. Michael Roman Catholic Church.
