Monday — Police filed drug-related and traffic charges against Terry V. Ulisky, 54, of Karns City stemming from a 3:42 p.m. Friday traffic stop on South Jackson Street.Officers found on the floor of the vehicle a baggie containing suspected marijuana and a bottle containing suspected painkillers for which Ulisky did not have a prescription, according to a police report.Ulisky is charged with possession of a controlled substance and a small amount of marijuana, driving with a suspended license-driving under the influence related, driving with an altered license plate, driving an unregistered vehicle, driving with an inspection sticker that had been issued to another vehicle and driving without valid inspection.Police said they also cited Tina L. Downs, 43, of Karns City, the owner of the vehicle, for failing to have insurance on the vehicle.Monday — Police cited two brothers in connection with a fight about 7:25 p.m. Saturday in the 400 block of West New Castle Street. Charged with disorderly conduct are Joshua Z. Jay, 31, and Richard W. Jay, 33, both of Butler. The younger Jay also is charged with public drunkenness.7:31 p.m. Sunday — Laura Jo Leitch, 37, of Butler faces a drug charge after she suffered an apparent heroin overdose outside her house on Brugh Avenue.Police were called there after neighbors reported finding an unresponsive woman lying near the road at Fairview and Brugh avenues.Paramedics administered the drug Narcan, which is commonly used to neutralize the effects of heroin, and Leitch awakened, according to a police report.Officers said they found beside her two used syringes, a crack pipe, cooking spoon and other contraband. She was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital for treatment.Police said they cited Leitch for possession of drug paraphernalia.
Tuesday — Five people were arrested for driving under the influence during a DUI detail in the county. In all, 73 vehicles were stopped and 35 traffic tickets issued. Officers also made 10 non-traffic arrests and handed out 32 traffic warnings.Butler Township Police3:56 a.m. Tuesday — Police are searching for Christopher Defelice, 20, no known address, who is charged with simple assault after he allegedly assaulted an individual then fled on foot around the 100 block of Old Plank Road. Anyone with information on Defelice's wherebouts may call police at 724-285-9600.5:39 p.m. Monday — Robbie Achesinski, 40, of Butler was charged with simple assault and harassment after he allegedly punched a 39-year-old man from Butler several times in the face at a residence on the 200 block of Home Avenue.12:01 p.m. Monday — A car driven by Julianne Monteleone, 18, of Butler and a pickup truck driven by Lyndsie Flack, 20, of Butler collided on Route 8 near Kerven Subaru.8:41 p.m. Sunday — A vehicle driven by Sabrina Schreiner, 41, of Butler and a vehicle driven by Mason Northrop, 17, of Butler collided at the intersection of Route 356 and Duffy Road.
Sunday — Robert King, 20, of Grove City was cited for trespass with a motor vehicle after he allegedly got his truck stuck in the woods of Grove City's Memorial Park and had to call for a tow truck.
8:45 p.m. Wednesday — An Emlenton Ambulance crew was called to a traffic crash with reported injuries on Route 268 in Allegheny Township about one mile west of Parker, Armstrong County.Police did not immediately issue an accident report and no other information was available.5:13 a.m. Wednesday — One person was hurt in a one-car crash on Route 38 in Washington Township. Police did not immediately issue an accident report and the name of the injured person who was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital, was not available.The North Washington Volunteer Fire Department and Petrolia Ambulance assisted police at the scene.
3:26 p.m. Monday — Ian P. Cole, 18, of Kittanning was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence of a controlled substance on Pine Street in East Franklin Township.10:40 p.m. Sunday — Kenneth A. Globis, 57, of Cowansville was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after his sport utility vehicle crashed on Wible Road just north of Commerce Drive in East Franklin Township. Globis, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered minor injuries.8:55 p.m. Sunday — Renee L. Claypoole, 37, of Kittanning was arrested for suspicion of DUI after she and 38-year-old Jay C. Stenzel of East Brady got into a domestic dispute on Kaylor-Frogtown Road in Sugarcreek Township.Police said Stenzel allegedly shoved Claypoole, causing her to fall to the ground. She suffered minor injuries to a shoulder and both legs. After the altercation, according to a police report, Claypoole got into her vehicle and drove away. A short time later, she crashed into a guardrail.In addition to DUI, police said, Claypoole faces a charge of harassment.Stenzel was arrested on charges of simple assault and harassment, and placed in the Armstrong County Jail on $5,000 bail.7:18 p.m. Saturday — Maureen Cress, 21, of Mars was arrested for suspicion of DUI on Route 28 at exit 17 in Buffalo Township, Butler County. Police also cited Cress for speeding.11:45 p.m. June 24 — A car driven by Justin A. Blystone, 19, of Ford City struck a guardrail on Route 66 in Manor Township. Blystone told police the crash happened when he swerved his car to avoid a deer on the road. Police said he was cited for a lane violation.
6:30 p.m. Monday — A teenager at the George Junior Republic juvenile detention facility in Pine Township was arrested after he allegedly threw an end table at a 37-year-old Erie man.Police said the suspect, Edwin Luis Ramos-Rodriguez, 18, of Reading, Berks County, chased the alleged victim and repeatedly punched him in back of the head.Ramos-Rodriguez, who is free on $25,000 unsecured bailed, is charged with aggravated assault, simple assault and harassment.12:30 a.m. Saturday — An unknown burglar stole an Xbox video game system, a Nintendo DS game console, 20 video games and $20 in coins from a house on Creek Road in Worth Township.
