Howard and Nancy Halstead

Howard and Nancy Halstead of Saxonburg will celebrate 65 years of marriage with family and friends.

Halstead married the former Nancy Staley on June 18, 1947, at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Sarver.

They have five children, Rebecca Griffith of Madison, Ohio; Ruth Bates of San Antonio, Texas; Melinda Pegher of Slippery Rock; and James Halstead and Ellen Fogel, both of Saxonburg.

Another son, Jon Halstead, is deceased.

They also have 12 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Halstead is a retired dairy farmer. He is a member of the Pa. Farm Bureau, Pa. Holstein Associates and Butler County Soil Conservation District.

Mrs. Halstead is a homemaker.

The Halsteads are lifelong members of Westminster Presbyterian Church.
