Butler Twp. Police2:30 a.m. Thursday — Lyndsy K. Day, 21, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on South Duffy Road. Police said they also charged Day with possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, and careless driving.2:45 p.m. Wednesday — A 17-year-old Butler boy was cited for trespass when he was caught at the Butler Intermediate School after having previously been barred from the school.
Grove City Police12:02 a.m. Wednesday — Sheila Mulholland, 21, of Grove City faces several charges stemming from a disturbance on North Broad Street. Mulholland is charged with simple assault, disorderly conduct and possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia .Wednesday — Gerald Burk, 58, of Grove City was arrested on three warrants in connection with separate bad check cases in Mercer County. He was nabbed following a traffic stop, a police report said.The warrants, court records showed, were issued after Burk allegedly bounced checks between Aug. 11, 2011, and Jan. 16 in Sandy Lake and Sandy Lake Township.
State Police, ButlerMay 18 — A teenager faces a felony charge after running away from the Summit Academy reform school on Herman Road in Summit Township earlier this month.Police said 18-year-old Anthony Bell is charged with escape in his short-lived getaway shortly before 9:30 p.m. May 6.Troopers chased the suspect and a 16-year-old boy, a Summit Academy detainee who joined Bell in the escape attempt, according to court documents. The officers pursued the pair toward the post office on Herman Road but lost sight of them near a farm.Troopers working the midnight shift caught the teens, who were later returned to the facility. Authorities said the 16-year-old faces an escape charge in juvenile court.
State Police, New Castle8 p.m. Tuesday — Hollie R. Torok, 23, of Grove City suffered minor injuries when the car she was driving struck a deer on Interstate 79 in Plain Grove Township. Torok complained of pain from the deployment of the car’s air bag.
