Monday — Police filed drug-related charges against Julie L. Lascuola, 29, of Butler in connection with an overdose at her home. Lascuola is charged with possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.12:04 p.m. Friday — Devon J. Baptiste, 25, of Butler was arrested on drug-related charges after he was caught sleeping in the Butler High School auditorium. Police said Baptiste was found with four stamp bags of fake heroin and suspected drug contraband.He is charged in the case with possession of a counterfeit controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, public drunkenness and disorderly conduct.9:30 p.m. Thursday — A car driven by David L. Geibel, 55, of East Butler sideswiped another vehicle at New Castle and Duffy roads, and did not stop after the crash. Police cited Geibel for hit-and-run, failing to give information and render aid after an accident, disregarding traffic lanes and reckless driving.
Friday — Police charged Aaron Min Kee Wallof, 22, of Scarborough, Maine, with theft after he allegedly stole $38 in currency from a dormitory room at the Grove City College on May 5.Thursday — A brown women's Coach wallet was stolen from a car at a parking lot in the 100 block of Mill Street. The wallet was taken between 1 and 5:30 p.m.
2:25 p.m. Monday — Deanna M. Shaffer, 57, of Portersville was hurt when a sport utility vehicle rear-ended her car on Route 68 in Forward Township. Shaffer, who was not wearing a seat belt, suffered minor injuries. Police said Eric D. Snyder, 48, of Butler, who was driving the SUV, was cited for careless driving.Monday — About 180 feet of copper wire was stolen from three different mobile homes at 422 Mobile Sales on Route 422 in Franklin Township. Several furniture items worth a combined $3,000 also were taken from another trailer home.A police report noted that there was no forced entry into any of the homes. The thefts happened between Saturday and Monday.2:15 p.m. Wednesday — An SUV driven by Shirley Obrannon, 64, of Butler and a car driven by Ryan A. Ebner, 29, of Prospect collided on North Road just north of Tiffany Lane in Franklin Township. Police said Obrannon was cited for improperly entering a road and Ebner was cited for driving too fast for conditions.
