The Browns in 1952

Jim and Barbara Brown of Bruin will celebrate 60 years of marriage with an open house from 2 to 4 p.m. June 2 at the Martinsburg Church in Bruin.

Brown married the former Barbara Shivey on May 20, 1952, in the Foxburg Episcopal Church.

They have three children, Laurie Mueller of Bruin, Sharon Brown of Pittsburgh and David Brown of Grove City.

They also have 16 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Brown is retired from Penreco after 42 years. He is a member of Martinsburg Church of Bruin.

Mrs. Brown is a homemaker. She is a member of Foxburg Episcopal Church.
