Pitt to combine administrations
PITTSBURGH — The University of Pittsburgh says the administrations of two regional campuses will be combined to cut costs.
The school says in a statement Monday that steep cuts in state funding forced the decision to merge the Bradford and Titusville administrations. The schools were founded in 1963.
Senior Vice Chancellor Patricia E. Beeson says Bradford will be the administrative center for both schools.
The Bradford campus serves about 1,600 students, and the Titusville campus serves about 500.
Beeson didn't say how much money the move will save or if jobs will be cut.
