12:23 p.m. Friday — Police arrested a city man wanted on a pair of arrest warrants in connection with break-ins in Clarion, Pa. Officers arrested 19-year-old Douglas Heasley at his home on Bredin Street.Heasley was wanted by Clarion police who charged him with burglarizing two homes March 9 and 11.He was placed in the Butler County Prison.Clarion police officers later drove him back to Clarion where he was arraigned on two counts each of burglary, conspiracy, theft, receiving stolen property and trespass. He is in the Clarion County Jail on $50,000 bail.10:35 a.m. Friday — Travis Fair, 21, of Butler Township, suspected of violating a protection from abuse order after contacting a woman at her Butler home last month, turned himself in to police.Fair admitted he wrote a three-page letter proclaiming his love to an 18-year-old woman and had a friend deliver it to her West Penn Street home. A gold ring was in the envelope along with the letter.The alleged victim contacted police after she found the envelope on her porch April 26.
2:34 a.m. Sunday — Jesse Marklel, 31, of Dover, York County, was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence at Route 422 and Interstate 79 in Muddy Creek Township.1:43 a.m. Saturday — Tyler J. Sutton, 21, of Petrolia was arrested for suspicion of DUI after his pickup truck struck a van parked at Route 38 and Hilliards Road in Washington Township.Saturday — A total of $800 worth of quarters were taken in a burglary at a home on Beaus Drive in Muddy Creek Township. The stolen coins were in a coffee can. The break-in happened between April 5 and Saturday.2:18 p.m. Friday — One person was hurt when a car driven by Jesse N. Titus, 22, of Butler rear-ended a pickup truck on Mercer Road at Route 8 in Center Township. Danielle M. Anderson, 22, of Butler, who was driving the pickup, was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital with unknown injuries.Titus was cited for careless driving.4:30 p.m. Thursday — An unknown driver sideswiped a car while backing out of a parking space at the University Village Apartments in Slippery Rock Township.Thursday — A suspected thief is accused of taking three rings and currency worth a combined $825 from a 79-year-old man's home on Black Road in Marion Township. The property was taken between April 3 and Thursday. Police said their investigation continues and they did not identify the suspect.Anyone with information about this theft is asked to call police at 724-284-8100.7 p.m. Wednesday — A man and woman, both of Butler, are accused in connection with an altercation at a home on Moran Road in Summit Township. Gregory Young, 38, and Kayla Lahey, 18, are charged with simple assault and harassment, respectively.
4:11 p.m. Sunday — Cars driven by Michael R. Mascaro, 38, of Pittsburgh and Matthew L. Bell, 18, of Slippery Rock collided at Route 258 and Garrett Drive in Springfield Township. Mascaro was cited for failing to yield the right of way.
