11:27 p.m. Wednesday — Adam J. Compton, 24, of Butler allegedly assaulted and threatened to kill his girlfriend, 23-year-old Richelle Caldwell, during a domestic dispute at their Short Street home. Compton is charged with terroristic threats and simple assault.Wednesday — A diamond ring was turned over to police. The owner can claim the ring by calling police at 724-287-7743.

1 a.m. Sunday — Donald E. Gibler, 20, of Center Township was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence and DUI by a minor after his car struck two vehicles parked on Penn Avenue. In addition to drunken driving, Gibler is charged with underage drinking, careless driving at an unsafe speed, driving without insurance and improper display of a license plate.

2:37 a.m. Wednesday — Timothy D. Minner, 29, of Grove City was arrested for alleged public drunkenness on East Pine Street near Park Street. Minner was placed in the Mercer County Jail after police learned he was wanted on a bench warrant and for a probation violation.2:58 a.m. Tuesday — Jennifer Szaniszlo, 34, of Seville, Ohio, was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence in the Rite Aid parking lot on West Main Street. Officers said Szaniszlo was stopped after she almost struck a police cruiser head-on.According to a police report, Szaniszlo became combative with officers and had to be subdued with a Taser.Police said in addition to DUI, she also faces charges for having an open container, driving on the wrong side of the road, driving with a suspended license and disorderly conduct.She was placed in the Mercer County Jail on a probation violation.6:53 p.m. Sunday — Three youths, who police did not identify, were caught in a fenced-in location of a business at 180 Lincoln Ave. Police said the children were cited for defiant trespass.

7:40 a.m. Tuesday — One person was hurt in a one-vehicle crash at Routes 8 and 108 in Irwin Township. The crash happened when Justin Shuda, 23, of Sunbury, Northumberland County, lost control of his pickup truck on the ice-covered road, hit an embankment and rolled onto its roof.Shuda, who was not wearing a seat belt, was taken to Grove City Medical Center with moderate injuries. Police said he was cited for driving too fast for conditions and a seat belt violation.

8:36 p.m. Tuesday — A 22-year-old Clearfield woman was caught with 20 stamp bags of suspected heroin, six syringes, two spoons and other contraband following a traffic stop on Route 28 in North Buffalo Township. Police said the woman, who they did not identify, faces charges of possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, pending crime lab test.Tuesday — A car driven by Cynthia S. Noland, 52, of Butler rear-ended a sport utility vehicle at Route 66 and Fifth Avenue in Manor Township. Police said Noland faces a ticket for driving at an unsafe speed. Linford A. Toy, 64, of Ford City was driving the SUV.
