3:40 p.m. Tuesday — Cars driven by Carl Brenen, 82, and Anita Weichey, 30, both of Butler, collided at Butler Commons. Weichey was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital after complaining of neck pain.12:40 p.m. Tuesday — Two people were hurt in a three-vehicle wreck on North Duffy Road. The crash happened when a pickup truck driven by Ronda McConnell, 62, of Butler rear-ended a car on North Duffy at the Butler Athletic Club.The collision forced the car driven by Jonathan Carroll, 20, of Butler into an oncoming sport utility vehicle driven by Stephen Tuzikow, 28, of Butler.Greenwood Village volunteer firefighters and Butler Ambulance Service crew members had to free Carroll from his wrecked car. Carroll, who was not wearing seat belt, was flown by medical helicopter to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh.Tuzikow was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital with a neck injury.

Wednesday — Police filed several criminal charges against Christopher M. Rusch, 27, of Chicora in connection with his employment as manager of Prestige 1 Auto in Donegal Township last yearAccording a police report, Rusch on Nov. 14 sold a $550 warranty with a pickup truck that a Sarver man bought at the business. But Rusch failed to send the buyer's warranty application and payment to the warranty company within the required 30-days.“This caused the warranty company to void the coverage costing the victim $6,646.64 in repairs for the truck,” the police report said.Rusch is charged with deceptive business practices, theft by deception, theft by failing to make required disposition of funds and several other dealer-related charges.

3:20 p.m. Tuesday — A 34-year-old Chicora woman, who police did not identify, was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs after her sport utility vehicle crashed into at least two trees and a creek. The woman fled, and police later found her at a nearby home.The woman was searched and was allegedly found with unspecified controlled substances and drug paraphernalia.

3:16 p.m. Thursday — One person was hurt in a two-car crash on Route 488 just east of Palo Alto Drive in Slippery Rock Township, Lawrence County. The crash happened when a car driven by Aaron M. Brucker, 27, of Slippery Rock rear-ended a car driven by Marylou Orgovan, 57, of Ellwood City. Orgovan, who was not wearing a seat belt, suffered a minor neck injury.
