4:46 p.m. Friday — Max A. Mook, 18, of Butler was charged with retail theft after he allegedly tried to steal $80 worth of ExtenZe Male Enhancement from the Kmart on Hansen Avenue.2:38 p.m. Tuesday — Someone stole a yellow push mower from a shed behind the Geraldine Ehm estate on St. Paul Street in the past few weeks.4:04 p.m. Monday — A car owned by Karen A. Ray, which was parked in the 300 block of Walker Avenue, was struck by a hit-and-run vehicle between 10 p.m. March 31 and 5 p.m. April 1, causing damage to its driver's side quarterpanel and rear bumper.
2:15 p.m. Wednesday — A vehicle driven by Rhonda Jardin, 46, of Saxonburg struck Susan Smith, 57, of Butler while Smith was walking in the Bottom Dollar parking lot in Bon Aire Plaza. Smith, who allegedly was knocked over and suffered an arm injury, was taken by Butler Ambulance to Butler Memorial Hospital.11:30 p.m. March 26 —Angie Grossman, 45, of Slippery Rock and Kyle Nye, 22, of Slippery Rock each face charges after they allegedly stole a total of about $700 worth of merchandise from Walmart, Ross Dress for Less and Target. Grossman was charged with two counts of retail theft, and Nye was charged with three counts retail theft and two counts receiving stolen property.
7:57 p.m. Thursday — One person was hurt in a crash on Route 8 near The Mansion. The driver, whose car overturned, was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital with unknown injuries. Police are investigating but an accident report was not immediately available. Penn Township volunteer firefighters assisted police at the scene.
5:25 Friday — Nicholas Morabito, 18, of Butler and Taylor Stevenson, 18, of Evans City each were charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia after they allegedly were discovered preparing the marijuana to be smoked in a parked vehicle outside the FOP Brady Paul Memorial Lodge on Brady Paul Lane in Butler Township.State Police, Franklin8:35 p.m. Friday — Timothy Amoroso, no age given, of Emlenton was arrested under suspicion of DUI following a vehicle crash along Route 38 in Richland Township, Venango County.
4:12 p.m. Thursday — A sport utility vehicle driven by Amanda M. Zemko, 25, of Rural Valley rear-ended another SUV on Route 85 in Valley Township. Carol J. Cloak, 67, of Worthington was the other driver. Zemko was cited for driving too closely to another vehicle.Wednesday — A burglar stole electronics, money and collectors’ items after breaking into a home on Beckett Road in North Buffalo Township. The burglary happened between 11:50 a.m. and 3:20 p.m.Anyone with information about the break-in is asked to call police at 724-543-2011.</B>
