8:36 p.m. Sunday — Stanley E. Fair, 37, was arrested after he allegedly assaulted his wife, 35-year-old Melissa Fair, during a domestic dispute at the couple's home on West Penn Street.Saturday — A Niles, Ohio, woman reported that someone overnight stole the Ohio license plate FLS8848 from her car parked on West New Castle Street. The woman was visiting a friend in Butler when the theft happened.12:50 p.m. Thursday — Sara Thomas, 42, of Franklin Township was arrested for driving under the influence in the parking lot at 510 N. Main St. Police were called to the parking lot and found Thomas seated in a car and she appeared intoxicated.Before officers could speak to her, according to a police report, she tried to back out and nearly rear-ended another vehicle. Later, a search of her car turned up three bottles of vodka and a bottle of rum. Two of the vodka bottles were nearly empty.A breath test later showed Thomas' blood-alcohol level was 0.209 percent, the report said. A level of 0.08 percent is considered intoxicated under state law.7:09 a.m. Wednesday — Michael S. Gayhart, 29, no known address, was arrested on a bench warrant at a home on Maharg Street. The warrant was issued March 14 when Gayhart failed to appear at a court hearing in a misdemeanor assault case.

4:49 p.m. Sunday — Melissa A. Mato, 24, of Renfrew was hurt in a three-vehicle, chain-reaction crash in Connoquenessing.The wreck happened when a car driven by Bradley F. Abramson, 17, of Evans City rear-ended the car that Mato was driving on Route 68 just north of Bennett Court. The collision pushed Mato's vehicle into the back of car driven by Christopher S. Adams, 25, of Grove City.Mato, who was wearing a seat belt, was treated at Butler Memorial Hospital for minor injuries. Police said Abramson was cited for driving at an unsafe speed,3:31 a.m. Sunday — Matthew Hertzig, 30, and Leila Dunn, 27, were both arrested following a domestic dispute at the couple's home on Route 38 in Concord Township. Both were placed in the Butler County Prison on charges of simple assault.Hertzig, who was found with a hypodermic needle, also is charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, according to a police report.7:23 p.m. Friday — An unknown thief stole a Ford City, Armstrong County, man's wooden cornhole game box in the area of the basketball courts in University Village Apartments on Keister Road in Slippery Rock Township. The box, painted teal blue, is valued at $25.

3:52 a.m. Saturday — Natosha Sellers, 24, of Kittanning is accused of repeatedly calling state police in Kittanning “for no legitimate purpose,” according to a police report. Troopers went to Sellers' home on Brice Lane off Glade Run Road in East Franklin Township and found her allegedly “extremely intoxicated” outside her house.Police cited Sellers for disorderly conduct and public drunkenness.Midnight Saturday — Mary Zeigler, 51, of Chicora was seriously hurt when the pickup truck she was driving hit a culvert and became airborne for 32 feet before rolling over one time.Zeigler was flown by a medical helicopter to UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh. Police said she was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence.

5:38 p.m. Saturday — A pickup truck driven by Heather A. Norcross, 31, and a car driven by Diana J. Hardisky, 54, both of Grove City collided on Schmidt Road just west of Center Church Road in Liberty Township. Police said Norcross was cited for driving on the wrong side of the road.2:10 a.m. Saturday — Matthew R. Holes, 21, of Mercer was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after his car struck a tree along Route 19 north of Falls Road in Springfield Township. Police said Holes, who was not wearing a seat belt, suffered minor injures.10:24 p.m. Friday — Two boys escaped from the George Junior Republic juvenile detention center in Pine Township, and were later captured in the Pittsburgh area. Police said both youths were charged in Mercer County juvenile court with escape.7:05 p.m. Friday — An unknown shoplifter made off with a pair of children's jeans from the Children's Place store at Premium Outlets in Springfield Township. The suspect is described as a black woman, 5 feet, 5 inches tall, about 190 pounds with shoulder-length hair. She was wearing a white T-shirt with dark capri-style shorts.3:05 p.m. Thursday — Ryan D. Schaeffer, 18, of Grove City was hurt when the pickup truck he was driving collided with a car at Route 208 and George Junior Road in Pine Township. Police said the crash happened after the other driver, Elizabeth A. Bennett, 38, of Grove City, pulled into the path of Schaeffer's truck.Schaeffer swerved his pickup but was unable to avoid the collision. The truck traveled through a yard, struck a wooden fence, sideswiped a utility pole and ended up against a tree.
