Annual expo returns

CHAMBER set to host premier event of year

WARRENDALE — THE CHAMBER of Commerce on Monday will host its annual Neighborhood Business Expo, the chamber’s premier event that will features more than 140 businesses.

Vendor slots have sold out three years in a row. Attendance over the past two years has exceeded 1,000 visitors, according to chamber officials.

The free, public event will run from 3 to 8 p.m. at the Four Points Sheraton in Warrendale.

“It’s a fantastic event,” said Shawn Bliss, THE CHAMBER’s events coordinator.

It is the largest chamber event and features an evening of networking, business dealing, client building and community involvement.

Participants benefit from business-to-business networking as well as showcasing their products and services, said Bliss.

Prizes will be given away every 15 minutes along with individual prizes being awarded at the vendor tables.

Up to $1,000 will be given away as a grand prize by Ridge Insurance Agency.

Every type of business is present from chiropractors to financial advisers to business coaches, said Bliss.

The event has been so successful, according to Bliss, that THE CHAMBER last year added a similar event, the Community Business Fair, in the southern portion of the coverage area.

That fair this year will be at the Holiday Inn on McKnight Road on Oct. 16.

There also is preliminary talk about possibly making the Neighborhood Business Expo run over two days for next year, said Bliss.

For information on the expo, contact THE CHAMBER at 724-934-9700.
