Butler Police10:31 p.m. Tuesday — Nicholas Campbell, 29, of Butler was arrested on a bench warrant at the Brick House on South Main Street. Officers searched him and found a syringe and metal spoon. He faces a new charge of possession of drug paraphernalia. Meanwhile, Campbell was placed in the Butler County Prison on the warrant that was issued Dec. 30 when he failed to appear at a preliminary hearing in Butler Township for a misdemeanor drug case.

Grove City Police1:10 a.m. Wednesday — Robert P. McNulty, 29, of Grove City was arrested on charges of possessing a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, following a traffic stop.

State Police, Butler2:56 a.m. today — Matthew Mallon, 39, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence at Sunset Drive and Route 8 in Center Township.8:13 p.m. Wednesday — A 17-year-old Parker girl was hurt in a two-car collision in Franklin Township. The girl, who police did not identify, was driving a car that was broadsided by another car at Route 422 and North Road.The teenager, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital with minor injuries. Police said Andrew J. Link, 32, of Carrolltown, Cambria County, the other driver, was cited for a red light violation.Wednesday — Police charged Chaley K. Barnes, 32, of Butler in connection with a stolen safe taken between Feb. 4 and 11 from a home on Queens Junction Road in Clay Township. Police found the safe, which contained prescription medication, in Barnes’ vehicle. She is charged with receiving stolen property.Monday — An unknown identity thief used a Summit Township man’s bank account information Sunday and Monday to make six purchases totaling $263.33

State Police, Kittanning6:07 p.m. Tuesday — Patrick A. Harpool, 54, of Ford City was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence of prescription medication on Route 422 near the Sheetz store in Manor Township.6:37 p.m. Sunday — A sport utility vehicle driven by Nicole F. Montgomery, 33, of Manorville struck the side of a concrete bridge overpass on Route 128 in South Buffalo Township.4:35 a.m. Sunday — Dennis Rosenberger, 24, of West Tarentum was arrested for suspicion of DUI after he was found sleeping behind the steering wheel of a car on West Winfield Road, North Buffalo Township.

State Police, New Castle6 p.m. Monday — A teenager held at the Youth Development Center in Shenango Township is accused of spitting bloody saliva in the faces of staff members Craig Pienkoski, 29, of Grove City, and Ralph Peak, 45, of New Castle, and further assaulting the staff members. Both staff workers suffered injuries to their heads and necks. Peak sought treatment at Jameson Hospital in New Castle.Police arrested and charged Tyler Trewitz, 18, of Danville, Montour County, with felony assault in connection with the altercation. He was arraigned on charges and placed in the Lawrence County Jail on $25,000 cash bail.
