CRANBERRY TWP — The Marcellus Shale Coalition announced Tuesday the creation of its first online Marcellus Shale natural gas business directory: Marcellus on Main Street. The announcement was made at locations across the state, including Cranberry.

The online site, www.Marcellus OnMainStreet.org, allows those in the natural gas industry to find sources for materials and services such as contractors and suppliers in Pennsylvania, Maryland, New York, Ohio and West Virginia.

“Small businesses are truly the backbone of the American economy, and play an incredibly vital role in the growing and robust supply chain that makes responsible natural gas development possible. This cascading and positive economic impact extends far beyond the well site and pipelines,” said coalition President Kathryn Klaber in a news release.

“Partnering with regional chambers of commerce, Marcellus on Main Street will provide a unique resource for small and midsized businesses to continue playing an even more significant role in this historic economic opportunity.”
