Union falls in KSAC title game
Despite 16 points and 12 rebounds from Brody Pollock, the Union boys basketball team dropped a 56-54 decision to Clarion-Limestone in the KSAC Championship game Saturday at Clarion High School.
The Lions (19-4) outscored Union 16-9 in the final quarter to pull out the win.
The Golden Knights (20-3) used a 24-point second quarter to take a 32-20 halftime lead, but Clarion-Limestone roared back by posting a 20-point third quarter.
Mikey Harris and Taylor Smith added 12 points apiece and Austin Davis five assists for Union.
The Lions were paced by R.J. Laugand and Tyler Stitt, who had 17 points apiece and Adam Mellott chipped in with 14 points.
