5:49 p.m. Sunday — A SUV driven by Jocelyn A. Shetter, 57, of Butler and a car driven by Nicholas W. Pipher, 19, of Butler collided at the intersection of Pillow and Cunningham streets. No one was injured and Shetter was cited for driving on roads laned for traffic.7 a.m. Saturday — Jakob D. Slomer, 21, of Butler was charged with DUI after he allegedly was discovered asleep behind the wheel of his running vehicle in the parking lot of Family Video.2:17 p.m. Feb. 6 — Kurtis Wentling, 29, no known address, was charged with theft and receiving stolen property after he allegedly stole two aluminum ladders belonging to Joseph Janklovich from a residence along West New Castle Street. Police recovered and returned the ladders.

2 a.m. Thursday — Bryan Anthony, 22, of Butler was charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, resisting arrest and public drunkenness after being caught on Penn Avenue by police who had been investigating a disturbance outside of Cav's Place on Bessemer Avenue. Anthony had active arrest warrants out of the Butler County Sheriff's Department and the Mercer County District Attorney's Office.6:53 p.m. Wednesday — Police are searching for the driver of a late-model, black, extended-cab Ford pickup with a lifted suspension that was involved in a hit-and-run accident with two other vehicles on New Castle Road near Butler Commons. The truck was last seen driving erratically, east bound on Route 422. Anyone with information should call police at 724-287-9600.

Tuesday — A 16-year-old student was cited for punching another student at Grove City High School. Police did not identify the suspect.State Police, ButlerWednesday — Police filed drug-related and other charges against Kenneth D. Green, 18, of Butler stemming from a 12:05 a.m. Feb. 4 traffic stop on McGregor Road in Clay Township.Green is charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, underage drinking and possession of a prohibited offensive weapon — a set a brass knuckles.7:50 a.m. Tuesday — A car driven by Heather R. Wisniewski, 20, of Evans City crashed into a culvert and an embankment before rolling onto its roof along Powder Mill Road in Connoquenessing Township. Wisniewski suffered minor injuries and was cited for driving at an unsafe speed.5 p.m. Monday — A car driven by Kathryn D. Burns, 46, of Lyndora and a pickup truck driven by John D. Fair, 58, of Evans City collided on Route 422 east bound in Muddy Creek Township. Burns allegedly failed to stop and was later located along South Eberhart Road in Butler Township, where it was determined she was suffering from a medical condition. Burns was cited for careless driving.9 a.m. Monday — Someone stole the tailgate, valued at $550, off a 2005 Dodge Ram pickup truck for sale on the lot of Prestige 1 Auto Sales in Chicora. Anyone with information should call police at 724-284-8100.12:59 p.m. Saturday — Two people were hurt when a sport utility vehicle driven by Cheryl A. Istaqa, 40, of North Washington skidded on the slush and struck a utility pole along Route 38 just south of Pine Tract Road in Center Township.Two of Istaqa's passengers, a 12-year-old North Washington girl and a 12-year-old West Sunbury girl, suffered minor injuries. The girls, neither wearing a seat belt, were taken to Butler Memorial Hospital. Police said Istaqa was cited for driving too fast for conditions.4:14 a.m. Saturday — Eric Steighner, 27, of Pittsburgh was charged with DUI and several traffic violations following a traffic stop at the intersection of West Cunningham and Pillow streets in Butler.Feb. 10 — Six cans of gas worth $300 were stolen from the back of a pickup truck on Hannahstown Road in Jefferson Township. The theft happened between Feb. 6 and 10.Feb. 9 — An unknown burglar broke into a home on Sunmine Road in Clinton Township. Police said a small amount of money was taken in the burglary between 4:30 a.m. and 5:20 p.m.Feb. 8 — A 71-year-old Clay Township woman was scammed out of $17,000, police said. The unknown scammers called the woman and told her that her grandson was in legal trouble and he needed money.The woman, police said, wired the money to the thieves in Madrid, Spain. The scam unfolded on Feb. 7 and 8.10:34 p.m. Feb. 3 — James E. Vogan, 37, of Boyers was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Route 108 just east of Harmony Road in Slippery Rock Township.1:29 a.m. Jan. 22 — Jonathan R. Lopes, 20, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of DUI at Route 8 and Halston Road in Brady Township.
