Hoover 60th anniversary
Harry “Buzz” and Pat Hoover will celebrate 60 years of marriage with an open house from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday at their home, 209 Silverview Drive, Sarver.
Hoover married the former Pat Hines on Jan. 8, 1952, at the United Presbyterian Church in Freeport.
They have four daughters, Pam Walters of Sarver, Denise Polliard of Leechburg, Paula Hoover of Sanford, Fla., and the late Debbie Ukish.
They also have five grandchildren.
Hoover is retired from Penn Dixie Cement and DuCo Ceramics, where he was a shipper.
He is a founding/life member of the Saxonburg District Sportsmen’s Association and on the board of directors for Freeport International Baseball.
He enjoys hunting, fishing, mowing the grass and traveling with his family.
Mrs. Hoover is a retired press operator for DuCo Ceramics in Saxonburg.
She enjoys reading and traveling with her family.
