2:55 p.m. Sunday — Two people were hurt in a two-vehicle wreck at Hansen Avenue and Pillow Street.The crash happened when a car driven by Benjamin Ganther, 22, of Jacksonville, N.C., and a sport utility vehicle driven by Tracy Fencil, 33, of Butler collided, pushing the car into a guardrail. Police said both drivers, who were wearing seat belts, suffered minor injuries.Ganther was cited for running a red light.2:12 a.m. Saturday —Police cited two Butler men in connection with an altercation in the 100 block of Third Avenue.The suspects, Delmar Silk, 53, and Kirk W. Smith Jr., 23, were reportedly fighting in the street when a neighbor, 39-year-old Christopher Rockenstein, told them to leave.Instead, Silk ran up onto a porch at Rockenstein's home and tried to tackle the man. Rockenstein was able to fight off Silk.Smith then ran up and took a swing at Rockenstein, who was able to fend off Smith, too, the report said,The suspects both walked away. Police arrested Smith a short time later. Silk was not immediately found.Silk and Smith are charged with disorderly conduct and harassment. Smith also is charged with public drunkenness.
11:53 a.m. Dec. 19 — A vehicle driven by a girl, who police did not identify, crashed into a fire hydrant at George Junior Road and Carrie Way. The girl was taken to the Grove City Medical Center with unknown injuries. She was cited for careless driving.
8:48 p.m. Friday — John Coast II, 39, of Franklin was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Route 208 in Irwin Township.
5 p.m. Friday — A car driven by Leon E. Jack, 31, of Indiana, Pa., struck a tree along Route 28 just north of Glade Run in North Buffalo Township. Jack was cited for a lane violation.
9 a.m. Saturday — A sport utility vehicle driven by Tyrone Williams 62, of Middleburg, Fla., crashed into a guardrail on Interstate 80 in Wolf Creek Township. Williams was cited for a lane violation.8:20 p.m. Dec. 17 — David O. Stowe, no age given, of Harrisville was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Springfield Church Road in Jackson Township.
