9:51 p.m. Friday — John M. Boley II, 39, and his girlfriend, Autumn L. Martin, 36, were arrested following a domestic dispute at their College Street home. Both suspects were arraigned on charges of simple assault, and released on unsecured bail with the condition neither contact the other.Because of that no-contact order, District Judge Wayne Seibel ruled that Boley retain possession of the couple's home.Dec. 27 — Police charged Joshua P. Luchkiw, 26, of Butler with simple assault stemming from a Dec. 24 domestic dispute at a Coal Street home. He is accused of assaulting his girlfriend, 24-year-old Cassidy L. Nixon of East Butler.
12:45 a.m. Friday — Donald R. Vasbinder, 51, of Rimersburg was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Route 68 in Madison Township.
2:56 a.m. Sunday — Two people were hurt in a one-vehicle suspected drunken driving crash on Freeport Road in North Buffalo Township. Police, however, have not determined who was driving the sport utility vehicle that ended up wrecked in a yard near a house.Gregory R. Baker, 45, of Kittanning and Crystal Marie Frye, 34, no address given, were in the SUV when it crashed, police said. Both occupants were injured.But after examining the injuries and inspecting the damage to the vehicle, according to a police report, troopers could not immediately identify the driver. Police said the crash remains under investigation.
6:32 p.m. Sunday — A car driven by Vasilios P. Neofotistos, 59, of New Castle struck a deer on Route 208 in Springfield Township.
