Butler Police10:56 a.m. Friday — Tyler J. Evans, 26, of Lyndora was charged with retail theft after he allegedly stole two X-Box video game controllers from the Kmart on Hansen Avenue. Loss prevention officers at the store noted the license plate on Evans’ car as he left, leading to his arrest.4:27 p.m. Dec. 29 — Amanda Lynn Mellish, 23, of East Butler was cited for accidents involving attended vehicles, as well as careless driving, after the car she was driving allegedly struck a van owned by ATI of Butler and driven by Daniel Seuss Jr. at the intersection of East Jefferson and Monroe streets, then fled. No one was injured, and Seuss followed Mellish’s car and recorded the license plate, leading to her arrest.
