Butler Police6:27 a.m. Saturday — An unknown driver in a sport utility vehicle crashed into a parked car in the 200 block of Fifth Avenue, before driving away.Police said they found the SUV a short time later on Fourth Avenue. The unoccupied vehicle, a 2001 Ford Escape owned by a Boyers woman, was locked and the keys were gone.A police report noted that investigators have not identified the hit-and-run driver.

Butler Twp Police9:50 a.m. Friday — Maurice Bopp, 54, of Pittsburgh is accused of illegally burning construction materials on Oakdale Road. Police said Bopp was cited for violating the township’s burning ordinance.

State Police, ButlerWednesday — Police filed drugged driving and other charges against Alisha Cusick, 31, of Mercer in connection with a traffic stop that followed a minor crash about 5 p.m. Nov. 19 on Interstate 79 in Muddy Creek Township.Police said Cusick did not stop after her car hit a guardrail. She was later pulled over and arrested.Cusick is charged with driving under the influence of a controlled substance, driving under the influence of a combination of drugs and alcohol, hit-and-run, careless driving, disregarding traffic lanes, driving without insurance and driving with suspended registration.4:35 p.m. Monday — A car driven by Logan D. Sager, 19, of Ellwood City slid into a utility pole along snow-covered West Park Road in Muddy Creek Township.11:46 p.m. Sunday — Elise H. Coleman, 17, of Sewickley, Allegheny County, was hurt when she lost control of her car and overturned on ice-covered Interstate 79 in Jackson Township. Coleman, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken to UPMC Passavant Cranberry with minor injuries.Police said the teenager was cited for driving too fast for conditions.

State Police, Mercer4 p.m. Dec. 27 — A suspected shoplifter made off with several pairs of shoes he stole from the Nike Kids store in the Premium Outlets in Springfield Township.Store employees confronted the suspect, but he managed to get out of the store and leave with the shoes.Police said they believe the same man was involved in two other shoplifting thefts at the same store the prior two weeks.The suspect is described as black and in his mid 20s, and about 6 feet tall. He had a neatly-trimmed beard and two tear drop-shaped tattoos below his left eye.Police said the man possibly drove away in a gray Chevrolet Impala with an Ohio license plate,Anyone with information about the suspect is asked to call police at 724-662-6162.Dec. 25 — A tree stand was stolen Dec. 24 or 25 from a wooded area on Barkeyville Road in Pine Township.

State Police, New Castle 8:16 p.m. Monday — A car driven by Marissa L. Burdett, 21, of Gibsonia crashed into an embankment and rolled onto its roof after sliding off snow-covered Route 208 at Fassinger Lane in Washington Township. Police said Burdett was cited for driving too fast for conditions.
