5:49 p.m. Sunday — A pickup driven by Matthew Matteoni, 25, of Lyndora and a car driven by John Hardisty, 39, of Butler collided at the intersection of South Main and East Wayne streets. Matteoni was cited for failing to yield to oncoming traffic.11:50 a.m. Sunday — Michael Paul Jason Chute, 33, who has no known address, was arrested on an outstanding warrant from a state parole violation at 207 Ridge Ave. after police received an anonymous tip Chute was at that residence.6:49 a.m. Sunday — Marissa Mallory Watson, 23, of Lyndora was charged with simple assault after her aunt, Kelly Davis, 40, of Butler reported being punched in the face earlier by her niece at the Vertigo Club on West Cunningham Street. Police report Davis had bruising around her left eye and her nose appeared to have been bleeding. After going to Butler Memorial Hospital, Davis was diagnosed as having a broken nose.Sunday — Wyatt Blair McCauley, 40, of Butler was charged with robbery, retail theft and criminal trespass after allegedly stealing $82 worth of clothing and food from the Kmart on Hansen Avenue. Police report McCauley has a criminal record with two prior retail thefts and had previously been banned from that Kmart.1:11 p.m. Saturday — Jeremy L. Schmidt, 34, of Butler was arrested on an outstanding warrant during a traffic stop at the intersection of North Monroe and East Locust streets. He also was cited for having no driver's insurance and operating a vehicle with a suspended registration.

12:05 a.m. Monday —James Bell IV, 28, of Slippery Rock was charged with simple assault after police responded to a domestic disturbance at 107 Sycamore Grove Road in Worth Township.2 a.m. Sunday — A Jeep driven by Charles Black, 41, of Renfrew hit a retaining wall and a fence post along Spithaler School Road in Forward Township.6:10 p.m. Saturday — An SUV driven by Christopher Rozic, 29, of Slippery Rock hit two mailboxes along an icy Route 173 and overturned.6:05 p.m. Saturday — A car driven by Charlene Brittner, 45, of Evans City and a an SUV driven by Barbara Neal, 40, collided on Spithaler School Road in Forward Township. The Evans City Volunteer Fire Department assisted at the scene.4:39 p.m. Saturday — A car driven by Sydney Klenik, 18, of Butler and a car driven by Anita Slater, 50, of Mars collided on Evans City Road in Forward Township. Klenik was cited for not driving at a safe speed.4:22 p.m. Saturday — A pickup driven by Garry Braden, 55, of Cabot left a snow-covered Route 356 in Winfield Township. Police said he tried to back onto a driveway and the vehicle's undercarriage became stuck on a well vent. Police said he was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.1:30 p.m. Saturday — An unknown driver operating a Mitsubishi Eclipse hit a newspaper box and shrubbery along Route 8 in Slippery Rock Township before fleeing the scene.12:52 p.m. Saturday — An SUV driven by Kevin Cornelius, 44, of Boyers hit a fence post along a slush-covered Boyers Road in Marion Township and rolled over into a field. Cornelius and his passengers, Sarah Cornelius, 72, of Boyers; Tina Cornelius, 41, of Boyers; and Teresa Cornelius, 39, of Grove City were taken by Superior Ambulance to the Grove City Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries. The driver was cited for not driving at a safe speed.Saturday — Ryan Black of Butler reported his car's windshield was broken by a rock, causing $250 in damage, while the vehicle was parked along Route 356 in Jefferson Township between 10:30 p.m. Friday and 5:30 a.m. Saturday. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call police at 724-284-8100.2:56 a.m. Saturday — A pickup driven by Jay Miller, 20, of Evans City hit a tree off Leslie Road in Forward Township. He was cited for leaving the scene of a crash and several other traffic violations.8:56 p.m. Dec. 12 — A car driven by Michelina Pollini, 24, of Sewickley hit a guardrail along Interstate 79 in Jackson Township. She told police the accident occurred when she swerved to avoid a deer. The driver was cited for not staying in the lane.

10:25 a.m. Sunday — A car driven by Brianna Garretson, 20, of East Brady and a pickup driven by Joshua Steffy, 19, of Worthington collided on Bish Road in Sugarcreek Township.4:50 p.m. Saturday — A car driven by Christopher Bender, 23, of Belsano in Cambria County lost control on Route 422 in West Franklin Township and spun 360 degrees, rolling onto its roof into a drainage ditch. Police are investigating the cause.

1:08 p.m. Dec. 12 — A car driven by Rick Lumley, 42, of Ellwood City and a pickup driven by Jeffrey Geary, 67, of Harmony collided on Route 488 in Perry Township. Police said Lumley was seriously injured. Police did not report where he was treated. Geary was not injured. Police cited Lumley for driving at an unsafe speed.Dec. 12 — Police said Jolene Meyer of Slippery Rock Township was the victim of an online survey scam which cost her $1,915.
