Karen and Phillip Vavro

Phillip and Karen Vavro of Butler celebrated 25 years of marriage with family and friends in Disney World.

Vavro married the former Karen Smaretsky Nov. 21, 1986, at Community Alliance Church.

They have two sons, Michael Vavro and Bryan Vavro, both of Butler.

Vavro is retired from Armco where he was a maintenance leader.

Mrs. Vavro works for the Butler School District and is a licensed cosmetologist.

She was previously employed by Nationwide Insurance, American Hardware, House of Krauss Ring Manufacturing, Bill Cardille (Chilly Billy Show) at Channel 11 and the Social Security Administration.

She is a former model and professional dancer for the Pittsburgh Steel City Angels dance team.

The Vavros are members of Community Alliance Church.
