Butler Police10 a.m. Monday — Amanda Dittmer, 25, of Butler was charged with simple assault after she allegedly dragged Tonya Kildoo of Butler out of a car along Haylees Drive and began hitting her.7:28 p.m. Saturday — Hope Foote, 25, of Butler was charged with simple assault after she allegedly punched and fractured the nose of Dawn Ross of Butler, her stepmother, during Light-Up Night festivities in Diamond Park on Saturday.2:43 a.m. Saturday — A 16-year-old Butler boy was charged with simple assault and resisting arrest after he allegedly assaulted his live-in girlfriend and hit his sister during an argument at a Bluff Street residence. The boy attempted to flee police and had to be subdued with a Taser.

Butler Township PoliceMonday — Police accused Ruth Ann Viale, 48, of Portersville of stealing an elderly woman’s credit card that she used at the Wal-Mart in Butler Commons on Nov. 22. Viale is charged with identity theft, forgery, access device fraud, theft and receiving stolen property.6:23 p.m. Sunday — A vehicle driven by Lawrence Walker, 72, of Kittanning struck the medial barrier on Route 422 near the Lyndora exit after its left, front tire went flat.Sunday — Police filed drug-related charges against Savannah Blust, 18, of Butler stemming from a traffic stop on Oct. 30 on North Main Street. Blust is charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, and underage drinking.Sunday — A van driven by Esther Jones, 79, of Mars and a car driven by Regina Williams, 47, of Butler collided at the intersection of New Castle Road and Shockey Lane. Esther Jones and her passenger, Ralph Jones, 83, were taken by ambulance to Butler Memorial Hospital with minor injuries.1:33 p.m. Friday — A vehicle driven by Michael Lutz, 42, of Butler struck a guardrail on Route 422 near the Route 8 north exit. Lutz complained of back and shoulder pain but refused medical treatment.9:55 a.m. Friday — Emily Sopel, 28, of Butler was cited for trespass at the Wal-Mart in Butler Commons, from which she had previously been barred.2:41 a.m. Thursday — John Hilliard, 24, of Fenelton was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on South Main Street. Hilliard also was cited for driving on the wrong side of the road and making an improper turn.1:53 a.m. Thursday — Eric Powers, 26, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of DUI after police found him passed out with his foot on the brake of his still-running vehicle stopped on Evans City Road near Stirling Drive.Nov. 23 — A 16-year-old boy was caught with suspected drug paraphernalia at Butler High School after school officials got a report of students smoking marijuana in the boys’ bathroom. The boy, who police did not identify, is charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.9 p.m. Nov. 22 — One person was hurt when a car and tractor-trailer collided on New Castle Road at the Butler Commons shopping plaza. A passenger in the car, who police did not identify, suffered minor injuries but refused medical treatment. Joseph Campbell, 71, of Chicora was driving the car and Areo Charles, 34, of Elkhart, Ind., was driving the rig.8 p.m. Nov. 22 — Someone threw a full bottle of Quaker Steak and Lube ketchup at a vehicle traveling along Woodlawn Road near Highland Avenue, causing $1,150 worth of damage to the vehicle. Police were told a group of teenagers were seen in the area a few days earlier. Anyone with information should call police at 724-285-9600.Nov. 21 — A car driven by Richard Nodge, 70, of Evans City and an SUV driven by Melissa Henthorn, 37, of Slippery Rock collided at the intersection of Route 68 and Meridian Road.Nov. 21 — A pickup truck driven by Eric Fischer, 39, of Portersville and a car driven by Clarence Myrick Jr., 54, of Butler collided at the intersection of New Castle and Duffy roads.

State Police, Butler11:50 a.m. Sunday — A car driven by Jerome J. Fridia, 27, of Pittsburgh crashed and rolled over on Interstate 79 in Muddy Creek Township. Fridia suffered moderate injuries and was cited for driving at an unsafe speed. A 39-year-old Pittsburgh woman and an infant who were passengers in the vehicle were not injured.Saturday — Someone damaged several car windows and stole a car stereo from the parking lot of 422 Auto Auction along Fisher Road in Muddy Creek Township. Anyone with information should call police at 724-284-8100.11:10 a.m. Nov. 18 — An SUV driven by Deanna M. Shaffer, 57, of Portersville was struck by a hit-and-run vehicle while pulled over along the south side of New Castle Road. The other vehicle is described as a small box-style truck. Anyone with information should call police at 724-284-8100.

State Police, Mercer10:30 p.m. Sunday — A van driven by Christen L. Stouffer, 30, of Grove City crashed into a tree along Church Road in Springfield Township. Stouffer was not injured and was cited for driving too fast for conditions.

State Police. KittanningNov. 15 — A burglar stole three 5-gallon cans of gasoline from a garage at a home on Seybertown Road about two miles north of Route 68 in Bradys Bend Township. The break-in and theft happened between 9 p.m. Nov. 14 and 5 p.m. Nov. 15.
