Thursday — Samantha Griffin, 24, of Jackson Center, Mercer County, was cited for hit-and-run stemming from a 12:55 a.m. Nov. 4 crash that severely damaged a car parked in the 500 block of North Center Street.Thursday — Police said Pennsylvania Equipment of Lincoln Avenue was cited for having four false alarms in 12 months.Wednesday — Norman Pyle, 57, of Grove City was arrested after he returned to 615 S. Center St., his one-time home until he was evicted last month. Pyle is charged with defiant trespass, criminal mischief and public drunkenness.He was arraigned on charges and placed in the Mercer County Jail on $10,000 bail.1:49 p.m. Saturday — David Meade, 62, of Grove City was hurt when a car struck him near the West Poplar and South Center streets.Meade as walking east on West Poplar Street when he walked into the path of the vehicle driven by Michelle Cook, 28, of Grove City.Meade was taken to the Grove City Medical Center for injuries to his head and back. His condition was not known this morning.
6:01 p.m. Wednesday — A car driven by Jason L. Olbeter, 27, of Kittanning struck a deer on Route 28 just south of Furnace Run Road in South Buffalo Township.11:13 p.m. Tuesday — A car driven by Adam R. Scaife, 44, of Kittanning struck a deer on Route 28 in North Buffalo Township.11:58 a.m. Tuesday — Two women were badly hurt in a three-vehicle, chain-reaction crash on Route 28 at the Cheswick exit in Harmar Township, Allegheny County.The wreck happened when a pickup truck driven by Aaron P. Dinardo, 26, of Worthington rear-ended a van driven by Jessica McClain, 25, of Leechburg. The van, in turn, was forced into a sport utility vehicle driven by Jennifer A. Freel, 31, of Pittsburgh.McClain and Freel were taken to an undisclosed hospital with serious injuries.
