9:40 a.m. Tuesday — Amber M. Doller-Smith, 24, no known address, is wanted on a warrant in connection with a suspected felony assault at a Tacoma Avenue home.Police suspect Doller-Smith hit 78-year-old Mary Thompson of Center Township on the side of the face and head with a brick, during an argument at the house. The suspect also pulled “numerous amounts” of hair from Thompson's head.Doller-Smith allegedly fled before police got there. Thompson apparently suffered injuries that did not require medical treatment.Police later got an arrest warrant for Doller-Smith, who is charged with aggravated assault.Tuesday — Police charged two men with using a bank debit card last month without the owner's permission.Ronald Steighner Jr., 26, of Center Township and Jory Melik, 22, of Butler allegedly used Amber Picard's debit card four times on Oct. 1 and 2 to buy $342 in items from a pair of stores.Police said they identified the suspects after speaking to witnesses and reviewing store security video.Steighner and Melik admitted “using or being involved in the use of” the card to buy gas and cartons of cigarettes, the report said.“However,” the report continued, “each stated that it was the other that possessed the card and initiated its use.”Friday — Police obtained an arrest warrant for Jeremy Jones, 23, no known address, on charges he stole a car shortly after midnight Oct. 25 from a home in the 400 block of North Bluff Street.The owner told police that he was warming up the car, the engine was running and the vehicle was unlocked.A short time later, Butler Township police spotted the car, but the suspect fled. Authorities later identified Jones as the suspected thief.Jones is charged with felony counts of theft and receiving stolen property. Police also cited him for driving without a license.

11:10 p.m. Monday — Michael P. Koch Jr., 40, of Butler was arrested for alleged domestic violence following an altercation with his mother. Koch was arraigned on charges of simple assault and harassment, and placed in the Butler County Prison on $250 bail.

Monday — An unknown thief between Saturday and Monday stole four stock tires for an Oldsmobile Alero that were in the bed of a pickup truck in the 800 block of Superior Street. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 724-458-7925.Saturday — Norman Norris Pyle Jr, 57, of Grove City was arrested on a warrant and placed in the Mercer County Jail.Thursday — An unidentified dark-colored vehicle struck a tan Chevrolet Cavalier on the Grove City College campus, and did not stop after the crash between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.Thursday — An unknown vehicle sideswiped another vehicle in front of Natural Options on South Broad Street between 7:45 and 9:15 p.m., and drove away. The hit-and-run vehicle possibly was gray or white. Cleveland King, no age given, of Youngstown, Ohio, was driving the vehicle that was struck.

Tuesday — Someone shot a BB gun at the store front windows of three businesses on North Main Street Extension in Center Township. The damaged stores are Rollies Tobacco, Dairy Queen and Butler Floor and Carpet. The vandalism happened between 8 p.m. Monday and 7 a.m. Tuesday.1:10 a.m. Saturday — Brandon M. Mokel, 25, of Slippery Rock was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Route 173 and Grossman Lane in Slippery Rock Township.

7:47 a.m. Tuesday — Mary I. Smith, 67, of Parker was hurt when the sport utility vehicle she was driving struck a tree along Huey Road about two miles west of Route 68 in Toby Township. Smith, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken to Clarion Hospital with moderate injuries. She was cited for careless driving.

11:30 p.m. Monday — A car driven by George S. Kahil, 33, of Coraopolis, Allegheny County, struck a deer on Interstate 79 in Springfield Township.

7:53 a.m. Saturday — A pickup truck driven by John J. Hanzes, 56, of West Middlesex struck a deer on Route 422 just west of Fox Road in Slippery Rock Township, Lawrence County.
