4:17 p.m. Sunday — An unidentified black pickup truck struck a garage on Beaver Dam Road in Clay Township and did not stop after the crash. The unknown driver, a white male, was turning around in the home's driveway at the time. Anyone with information about the hit-and-run accident is asked to call police at 724-284-8100.2 a.m. Sunday — Logan Huebner, 19, of Coshocton, Ohio, was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Route 8 just south of Route 138 in Clay Township.11:40 p.m. Saturday — Police suspect an unknown vandal caused fire damage to a Petrolia woman's car in the 100 block of Washington Street in Fairview. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call police.7:55 p.m. Saturday — A sport utility vehicle driven by Kyle J. Cumberland, 21, of Butler struck a deer on Route 8 in Center Township.1:30 p.m. Saturday — Arthur B. Bowman, 31, of West Sunbury was hurt when the car he was driving collided with another car on Route 308 in Center Township. Bowman, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital with minor injuries.The other driver, Anton T. Bowman, 20, of West Sunbury, police said was cited for making an improper left turn. Police said Arthur Bowman was cited for driving without insurance.10:18 a.m. Saturday — Sport utility vehicles driven by Noel A. Plummer, 74, of Portersville and Melissa A. Phillips, 33, of Butler collided at Eagle Mill Road and Route 68 in Connoquenessing Township.8:15 a.m. Saturday — Scott D. Klopfer, 52, of Butler was hurt when the pickup truck he was driving collided with another vehicle at Dick and Whitestown roads in Connoquenessing Township. Klopfer, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital with minor injuries. Natalie M. Pantone, 21, of Pittsburgh was the other driver.3:14 a.m. Saturday — Michael J. Arendt, 20, of Mars was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after his car struck a utility pole along Route 108 at Elm Street on Slippery Rock. Police said Arendt was using a cell phone and reading a text message when he took his eyes off the road and crashed.Friday — A suspected burglar stole seven older, long guns from a home on Woodland Road in Connoquenessing Township. The guns are worth $1,800. Police did not identify the suspect.7:39 a.m. Wednesday — A car driven by Daren L. Tadich, 24, of Cranberry Township struck a deer on Interstate 79 north of East Lancaster Road in Lancaster Township.
Saturday — A 22-inch Emerson LCD television and Compaq laptop computer were taken in a burglary at an apartment on East Valcourt Road in Liberty Township. Police said there appeared to be no forced entry at the apartment. The burglary happened between 7:30 p.m. Friday and 6:20 a.m. Saturday. The stolen property is valued at $600.Thursday — Two aluminum ladders valued at $200 were stolen from a wooded area behind a home in the 600 block of Old Mercer Road in Springfield Township. The ladders were taken between Sept. 21 and Thursday.
