The Thompsons in 1951

Charles and Mary Jane Thompson of Butler celebrated 60 years of marriage with a family dinner.

Thompson married the former Mary Jane Comella Oct. 6, 1951, at St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church.

They have two children, Debby Thompson and Toni Sexton, both of Butler.

They also have one grandson.

Thompson is retired from Pullman Standard and International Staple, where he was a tool and die maker. He is also retired from the National Guard.

He is a member of the American Legion Post 117 and an avid motorcyclist.

Mrs. Thompson is a retired waitress.

She enjoys camping, playing bingo and doing crosswords puzzles.
