6:12 a.m. Saturday — Jamie R. Kline, 40, is accused of letting her pit bull run loose outside her home in the 300 block of Broad Street. Police cited Kline after her dog allegedly charged at a neighbor, a 48-year-old woman, who said she had to spray Mace at the pit bull to protect herself.Kline told officers that her son had the dog out without a leash, according to a police report. But, the report said, she claimed the neighbor Maced the dog “for no reason.”
Monday — Candis Beilstein, 20, of Butler was arrested after allegedly shoplifting $150 worth of merchandise from the Wal-Mart in Butler Commons. Police said Beilstein is charged with retail theft.
Wednesday — Police reported that a blue GT Tempest mountain bike was stolen about three to four weeks ago from the front porch of a home in the 400 block of McConnell Street. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 724-458-7925.
2:32 p.m. Wednesday — A car driven by Michael S. Zablocki, 58, of Slippery Rock struck an embankment and rolled over onto its side on North Liberty Road in Pine Township. Police said Zablocki was cited for driving at an unsafe speed.5:55 a.m. Wednesday — One person was hurt in a two-vehicle wreck in Pine Township. The crash happened when a car driven by Robert J. Anderson Jr., 32, of Hermitage and a pickup truck driven by Michael J. Wroblewski, 45, of Greenville collided at the intersection of Route 58 and George Junior Road.Anderson, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered minor injuries. Police said he was cited for not stopping at a flashing red light.Oct. 5 — Police charged Mariah Rita Faye Sloan, 18, of Grove City with stealing Pennsylvania Lottery tickets on Oct. 2 from County Market while working at the store in the Pine Grove Square shopping plaza in Pine Township. Sloan is charged with a first-degree misdemeanor count of theft.
