Wednesday — Shelly L. Wagner, 41, of Butler was charged with theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property and criminal conspiracy after she allegedly stole mail from a neighbor in her Pillow Street apartment building between July and August. Brittany M. Dezwick, 36, of Butler was charged with receiving stolen property and criminal conspiracy in the same case.Tuesday — Police charged a man and woman, both from Allegheny County, with stealing valve stems from the tires of a minivan in the parking lot at Jackson and Locust streets.Officers were called after the suspects, Lashawn A. Partlow, 19, of Pittsburgh and Carrieann Arblaster, 25, of Wilmerding, were spotted around the van. The caller said the woman had a knife and thought it was being used to cut the tires, court documents said.Police searched the area and found Partlow and Arblaster on West North Street near Church Street. Arblaster was stopped but Partlow took off running. Officers looked for but could not find him.Meanwhile, police, learned that Arblaster's ex-husband, Charles Arblaster, owns the van.Both suspects are charged with theft and conspiracy. Partlow also is charged with resisting arrest.Tuesday — A 14-foot ladder pick valued at $800 was stolen overnight from the Westminster Presbyterian Church on North Main Street.Tuesday — A Lawn Boy push mower valued at $250 was stolen from the front yard of a home in the 500 block of North Elm Street.Tuesday — One hundred dollars and a Magellan global positioning system unit valued at $90 were taken from a vehicle parked at a home in the 200 block of East Walnut Street. The theft happened between 8 p.m. Monday and noon Tuesday.Tuesday — Several stone garden ornaments and two potted plants were taken from the porch of a home in the 400 block of Broad Street. The ornaments depict angels, a frog and turtle. The stolen property is valued at $90.Monday — An unknown vandal smashed out the glass door at McCall's Plumbing on Negley Avenue. The vandalism happened over the weekend. Damage was estimated at $750.9:48 p.m. Sept. 11 — Two people were hurt when a car crashed into a large pine tree at Glenn and Zeigler avenues. The crash happened when the driver, Gregory R. Graham Jr., 24, of Butler, suffered an apparent seizure, according to a police report.Graham and his passenger, Megan Zier, 21, of Summit Township, were taken to Butler Memorial Hospital; neither was wearing a seat belt.
11:34 a.m. Tuesday — An SUV driven by Patricia Bowser, 79, of Butler and a car driven by Marie McCafferty, 80, of Butler collided at the intersection of North McKean Street and Belmont Road. Bowser suffered a minor hand injury.6:16 a.m. Tuesday — A vehicle driven by Jack Bouch, 25, of Butler and a vehicle driven by Thomas Wagner, 45, of Gibsonia collided at the intersection of Route 8 and Vogel Road. No one was injured and Bouch was cited for vehicles turning left.
Tuesday — Donald Huff, 32, of Grove City was arrested on two felony warrants stemming from a state police investigation.
6:03 p.m. Tuesday — Two cars collided at the intersection of Route 308 and Holyoke Road in Center Township, with one vehicle coming to rest in a culvert ditch. A police report did not identify the driver of either vehicle but stated that one driver was cited for failure to obey stop signs.10:30 a.m. Saturday — Someone stole a 1987 80cc Yamaha dirt bike belonging to Robert Soller of Prospect from a shed along Albert Drive in Lancaster Township between 6 p.m. Friday and 10:30 a.m. Saturday. The bike has a white fiberglass body and a red seat.5:35 p.m. Friday — A car driven by Julie A. Colsey, 28, of Karns City and a car driven by Gary A. McDeavitt, 36, of Butler collided on Bonniebrook Road near Brinker Road in Summit Township. No one was injured and Colsey was cited for driving at an unsafe speed.4:42 p.m. Friday — A car driven by Michael A. Fennell, 17, of Butler, an SUV driven by Joshua D. Klingensmith, 28, of Apollo and a car driven by Amanda S. Cousins, 28, of Butler collided on Route 356 near Dreher Farm Lane in Summit Township. No one was injured and Fennell was cited for driving at an unsafe speed.9:58 a.m. Sept. 9 — A car driven by Timothy J. Nwranski, 22, of Creighton crashed into an embankment and rolled onto its roof on West Liberty Road near Martin Road in West Liberty. Nwranski was not injured and was cited for driving at an unsafe speed.
12:15 a.m. Sunday — No one was hurt when a vehicle was hit with an unknown object while traveling on Route 258, just north of School Road in Springfield Township. The vehicle, driven by a Mercer man, sustained damage to the front right door.Sept. 11 — Deborah L. Scott, 61, of Greenville was charged with theft of lost property after she allegedly stole $368 from a purse belonging to Shirley L. Porter of Ontario, Canada, which had been mislaid at the Best Western Hotel in Springfield Township.
