12:14 a.m. Sunday — Cars driven by Jonathan Shuler, 21, of Lyndora and Juan Pineda, 42, of Evans City collided at Evans City and North Eberhart roads. The occupants in both vehicles sustained minor injuries, but refused medical treatment. One lane of Evans City Road was closed until the wreckage was cleared from the scene.

2:23 a.m. Sunday — A sport utility vehicle driven by Bryce C. Foreback, 20, of Chicora struck an embankment, rolled over and landed on its wheels on Slippery Rock Road in Fairview Township.Sunday — Mark Andrew White, 62, of Butler was charged with writing a bad check for $1,848.90 to Kauffman Metals of Bedford in Bedford County.

Sept. 9 — Richard Lee Trulick of Butler and Tye Desiderio of Kittanning reported the theft of roughly 30 feet of copper pipe, two catalytic converters and a trail camera, worth a total of $225, from 676 Adrian Sherrett Road between Aug. 12 and Sept. 9.8:05 p.m. Sept. 1 — A Templeton youth is accused of threatening several pedestrians with a vehicle on Stone and Templeton avenues in Pine Township, Armstrong County. Police said the 17-year-old suspect, who they did not identify, also drove the vehicle in reverse and sped down the road. The teen faces charges of reckless endangerment and driving without a license.

Sept. 10 — An unknown person shot and severely wounded two cats in the area of Pennsy Road in Springfield Township. Anyone with information about the case of animal cruelty is asked to call police at 724-662-6162.

3:42 p.m. Sunday — A car driven by Rocco Cusato, 19, of Ellwood City hit a tree along Shaffer Road in Slippery Rock Township. Cusato and his two passengers were treated at Ellwood City Hospital and released.
