The Mortimers in 1961

Patricia and Howard Mortimer of Cabot celebrated 50 years of marriage with a family dinner on Aug. 20 at Saxonburg Memorial Presbyterian Church.

Mortimer married the former Patricia Ekis on Aug. 25, 1961 at St. Paul’s in Butler.

They have three daughters, Lori Mortimer of Saxonburg, Carol Burnett of Saxonburg and Kelly Sennewald of Damascus, Md.

They also have four grandchildren.

Mortimer is retired from Knoch High School where he was an English teacher.

Mrs. Mortimer was a tax preparer and supervisor at H&R Block.

The Mortimers are members of Saxonburg Memorial Presbyterian Church.
