1:03 a.m. Tuesday —Nicholas D. Kristophel, 21, of Connoquenessing Township was arrested after allegedly attacking his girlfriend, 20-year-old Desiree Koch, during a dispute at her Slagle Avenue home.According to police, Kristophel drove his pickup truck to Koch's home, rear-ending a neighbor's pickup when he got there. He went into her home and allegedly threw her around and punched her. He also pulled Koch's hair, choked her and bit her, police said.Koch allegedly told police he had been drinking.She said he also broke her telephone and the frames and locks to the front and rear doors.State police later found Kristophel at his home. He was arraigned on charges of simple assault, hit-and-run and criminal mischief, and placed in the Butler County Prison on $10,000 bail.Tuesday — A black BMX-style bicycle was stolen overnight from the front porch of a home in the 300 block of West Wayne Street. The bike, valued at $100, is a Tony Hawk model with blue handle bars and a large rip in the seat

Tuesday — Police charged Tyler D. Truman, 24, of Slippery Rock with lying to authorities when he claimed Aug. 8 that someone had used his debit card at an automated teller machine near Butler to withdraw $110 from his bank account.According to police, Truman withdrew the money himself. He is charged with making false reports to police.12:03 a.m. Sunday — Donald Hutchinson, 19, of Lyndora was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Whitestown Road. Hutchinson also is charged with possession of marijuana as well as unspecified traffic violations.9:15 p.m. Friday — James D. Cradduck, 42, was arrested after allegedly ignoring police warnings to stop trying to fight another man at their Bessemer Avenue apartment building.Police were initially called at 8:39 p.m. to break up a fight between Cradduck and George Ashbaugh, 49. Officers cited both men for disorderly conduct and public drunkenness, and told them to “leave each other alone,” according to court documents.Police were called back 30 minutes later after Cradduck allegedly tried to get Ashbaugh to come outside and fight. Cradduck accused Ashbaugh of calling police on him the first time.Cradduck was arraigned on a felony charge of retaliating against a witness or victim. Additionally, he is charged with additional counts of disorderly conduct and public drunkenness, and a charge of harassment.Following arraignment, he was placed in the Butler County Prison on $5,000 bail.

Saturday — A thief stole a red and silver BMX-style Mongoose bicycle from a home in the 400 block of North Center Street. The bike, valued at $120. was taken between Aug. 13 and Saturday.

Monday — Police filed drug-related charges against Shane M. Bates, 19, of Butler stemming from a traffic stop at 5:54 p.m. Aug. 5 in a store parking lot on New Castle Street in Butler.Bates is charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, and driving with a suspended license and an obstructed license plate.11:30 p.m. Sunday —Zacharri W. Renick, 20, is accused of attacking 22-year-old Brittany Souders of Butler Township at his home on Game Reserve Road in Clearfield Township.Police said Renick shoved, kicked, dragged and threatened to kill Souders. He is charged with terroristic threats, simple assault and harassment.

Tuesday — Several unlocked vehicles were broken into overnight on and around Route 258 and North Liberty Road in Liberty Township, Mercer County.Monday — A black, Huffy Mongoose bicycle was stolen from a home in the 300 block of Old Ash Road in Springfield Township. The bike, which was originally green, was taken between 11 p.m. Sunday and 8 a.m. Monday.7:50 a.m. Sunday — A car driven by Ayron C. Gallagher, 20, of Slippery Rock struck a ditch and rolled over twice, landing on its roof on North Liberty Road in Liberty Township, Mercer County.
