Monday — A 16-foot-long utility trailer was stolen from 110 Etna St. sometime over the weekend. The black, 2002 gator trailer has dual axles, wooden deck and a 4-foot-high steel angle grid on the front. The trailer, valued at $2,500, has the Pennsylvania license plate XCE6892.6:53 p.m. Thursday — Cars driven by Carmen Pope 44, of Butler and Curt Onuska, 54, of Aliquippa, Beaver County, collided at West Cunningham and West New Castle streets. Police said Pope was cited for a red light violation.

12:45 a.m. Monday — An unknown male tried to break into an automated teller machine in front of NexTier Bank at Lyn Mar Plaza. The suspect was wearing a light-colored hooded sweat shirt with black lettering on the back. He also wore blue jeans and possibly a gray ball cap.The would-be thief was unable to access the ATM; however, the machine was damaged in the crime.Anyone with information about the case is asked to call police at 724-285-9600.2:20 p.m. Sunday — Vehicles driven by Katherine Thomas, 26, of Ellwood City and Clarence Myrick, 55, of Butler collided at Evans City and South Duffy roads. Thomas' vehicle rolled onto its side, following the collision, and slid about 24 feet before stopping.Police said Thomas was cited for a red light violation.

Monday — John A. Walbert, 28, of Lyndora was arrested on charges stemming from a business break-in and the theft of a check over the weekend.Police said Walbert about 8:10 p.m. Saturday forced open a door at A&E Heating and Cooling on East Butler Road in East Butler and entered an office.The next day, about 2:30 p.m., he allegedly forged a personal check stolen from an Oakland Township home. The check was cashed for $100.Police said Walbert was arraigned on charges in both cases. He is charged with burglary, trespass, theft, forgery and receiving stolen property. He is being held in Butler County Prison on $15,000 cash bail.1:15 p.m. Saturday — An unknown white man, believed to be in his mid-20s, exposed himself to two 17-year-old girls working at a fundraising car wash in the area of the Wendy’s restaurant at Clearview Mall in Center Township.The suspect, police said, has short, dark brown hair and a thin build. He was driving a black, older model mid-size vehicle with a yellow triangular sticker on the back window.Saturday — A suspected vandal, who police did not identify, broke out two windows of a garage and the rear window of a pickup truck at a home in Shanor Heights in Center Township. Damage was estimated at $600. The vandalism happened between 8 p.m. Friday and 1:30 p.m. Saturday,.Aug. 12 — Suspected burglars, who police did not identify, stole a 21-inch flat-screen television, a safe containing $500 and assorted tools from a home on Saniga Road in Slippery Rock Township. The break-in happened between Aug. 9 and 12. The stolen property is worth about $910.3:05 a.m. Aug. 7 — Hilary M. McCrea, 21, of Chicora was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence at Hooker and Wright roads in Concord Township.
