The Martens in 1961

Mary Ann and John Marten of Butler celebrated 50 years of marriage with a family dinner and cruise on the Gateway Clipper.

Marten married the former Mary Ann Forcht on June 24, 1961, at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church in Butler.

They have two children, John Marten and Cathy Zitalone, both of Butler.

They also have five grandchildren and one great-grandson.

Marten is retired from AK Steel.

Mrs. Marten was a homemaker.

They both enjoy spending time with their grandchildren.

They are members of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church.
