Butler Police4:35 p.m. Friday — A car driven by Jasmine R. Sable, 20, of Natrona Heights, a car driven by Keri L. Lawrence, 18, of Portersville and a car driven by James K. Swank, 56, of Greensburg collided on North Main Street near West Penn Street. No one was injured.10:46 a.m. Friday — Joyce Cicco, 51, of Butler was charged with retail theft after she allegedly was caught on camera stealing food items from the A-Plus Sunoco on East Jefferson Street.
Butler Twp. Police4:54 a.m. Friday — Someone stole about 10 feet of copper ground wire from St. Andrews Orthodox Church on Penn Avenue in Lyndora between Thursday night and Friday morning. Anyone with information should call police at 724-285-9600.
State Police, Butler5:25 p.m. Thursday — A car driven by Joshua M. Pierce, 39, of Slippery Rock crashed into an embankment and a tree along Branchton Road near Windy Road in Cherry Township. Pierce, who was suffering from a pre-existing medical condition at the time of the crash, was taken by Slippery Rock Ambulance to Grove City Medical Center.1:30 p.m. Thursday — A vehicle driven by Eric W. Dyer, 42, of Elizabeth, Pa., and a car driven by Jacqueline D. Smith, 49, of Columbia, S.C., collided on Interstate 79 in Jackson Township. No one was injured.2:45 a.m. Thursday — A 17-year-old girl was arrested under suspicion of DUI after the vehicle she was driving crashed on Route 308 near Pleasant Valley Road in Cherry Township.2 p.m. Wednesday — Someone broke into and ransacked a residence along Thompsontown Road in Clay Township and stole about 100 insulin syringes and several antique milk bottles belonging to Pamela Hartman of West Sunbury between 6 p.m. June 1 and 2 p.m. Aug. 17.
