George E. Robinson Jr., 93, of Marshall Township died Saturday morning at UPMC Passavant Hospital in McCandless Township

Born in Marshall Township, June 4, 1918, he was the son of the late George and Grace Boggs Robinson Sr.

He worked 44 years as a blacksmith for Armco in Ambridge. He also was a self-employed oil, gas and water well driller for many years.

Surviving are two sons, George Robinson III (Gladys) of Freedom and Gary Robinson (Bonna) of Marshall Township; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, G. Naomi Holsinger Robinson, who he married Aug. 25, 1939, and who died July 12, 2006; and by eight brothers and sisters.
