3:38 p.m. Wednesday — Police arrested a suspected shoplifter who turned out to be wanted by Florida authorities on a felony warrant.Troy James Topash, 33, no known address, was placed in the Butler County Prison to await extradition. Police also charged him with retail theft.Police said Topash allegedly stole a golf glove and three music compact discs from the Pullman Square Kmart before he ran away from the store.Officers a short time later and close by found the suspect with the stolen property worth $52.Police later found that the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office in Florida was looking for Topash in connection with the felony and on another misdemeanor warrant.The Pinellas County Sheriff's Office subsequently notified police that it plans to extradite Topash.2:05 a.m. Sunday — Edward P. Dungee IV, 26, of Hermitage, Mercer County, was arrested on warrants out of Mercer County and Ohio. Officers found Dungee in a car at the A-Plus store on West Jefferson Street.He allegedly gave police a phony name. Officers later learned Dungee's true identity after they checked his fingerprints at the station.In addition to being jailed on the warrants. Dungee is charged with false identification to police.

1:30 p.m. July 26 — Police were called to a home in the 100 block of Blaine Street for a report of a white male in his 20s crawling into a window. Nothing was apparently taken. Police did not say if they have a suspect.

11:44 p.m. Thursday — A motorcyclist was injured in a one-vehicle crash on Interstate 79 in Worth Township.A police report was not available this morning and the name of the driver was not known. The driver, whose cycle flipped off the road, was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital with unknown injuries. Portersville volunteer firefighters assisted police.

10:40 p.m. Wednesday — Two men were hurt in a one-vehicle crash on Interstate 80 in Allegheny Township, Butler County.The crash happened when Joseph E. Emerick, 63, of Harding, Luzerne County, lost control of his Kenworth truck and hit a guardrail. The truck rolled onto its driver's side.Emerick and Michael A. Moore, 49, of Rome, N.Y., a passenger, suffered minor injuries. Both were wearing seat belts.

10 p.m. Wednesday — Jeran B. Dunmire, 27, of Punxsutawney, Jefferson County, was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Route 422 at the Graff Bridge in North Buffalo Township.
