1:55 p.m. Tuesday — Jesse Boggs, 18, of Butler was charged with simple assault, harassment and resisting arrest after allegedly pushing his sister down, causing minor injuries to her elbows. Boggs resisted arrest when handcuffs were being placed on him.9:29 p.m. Monday — An 18-year-old Butler man was assaulted on Alameda Park Road by a white male, about 40 years old, 5 feet 11 inches tall, who had a large, bushy mustache and was wearing blue jean shorts, a black shirt and white socks that were pulled up high. The victim sustained minor injuries. Anyone with information about the incident should call police at 724-287-9600.5:44 p.m. Monday — Shawna Herbert, 22, of Butler was charged with retail theft and receiving stolen property after allegedly trying to steal a grocery cart full of groceries.Sunday — Police are investigating two burglaries in the 400 block of Evans City Road between 6:30 p.m. Saturday and 4 a.m. Sunday. Four handguns were stolen from one of the houses. Nothing appeared to be taken from the other home. Both homes were ransacked.

Tuesday — Scott Alan Smith, 44, of Mercer is accused of assaulting 22-year-old Christopher Blake, 22, of Grove City in the parking lot and inside the Country Fair on West Main Street. Smith is charged with simple assault, disorderly conduct and harassment.

2 p.m. Monday — A car driven by Brody Gregg, 17, of Butler rode about 200 feet along an embankment off McCandless Road in Center Township. He was cited for not staying within the road's lanes.12:03 p.m. Monday — An SUV driven by a 16-year-old Butler girl hit a tree along Pipestem Road in Cherry Township. She was treated at Butler Memorial Hospital for treatment of minor injuries. The driver was cited for not driving at a safe speed.June 29 — Stacey Plesakov of Marion Township reported the fraudulent use of her ATM account for Internet purchases between June 4 and 29. Anyone with information about this should call police at 724-284-8100.

2:10 a. m. Sunday — Darrell Lee, 39, of Slippery Rock Township was charged with simple assault, furnishing alcohol to minors and harassment following a domestic disturbance in his residence at 1250 Copper Road. <B></B>
