Spencer 65th anniversary
Harry “Fred” and Betty Spencer of Slippery Rock celebrated 65 years of marriage with a family dinner Sunday at the Oakview Country Club in Slippery Rock.
Spencer married the former Betty Causer on July 24, 1946, at the United Methodist Church in Slippery Rock.
They have three children, Sandy Riddle of Forestville, Debbie Hedin of Huntingdon Valley and Fred Spencer of Slippery Rock.
They also have eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, two step-grandchildren, two step-great-grandchildren and one step-great-grandchild.
Spencer is retired from West Penn Power, where he was an electrical engineering technician. He is a member of the Masons and Methodist Men and a past member of the Harrisville Deer Hunters.
Mrs. Spencer is retired from Spencer Nursing Home, where she was a nurse's aide. She is a homemaker. She is a member of the King's daughters and past member of the Harrisville Deer Hunters Auxiliary.The Spencers belong to the United Methodist Church of Slippery Rock.
