11:19 a.m. Sunday — Jeremy Oesterling, 33, of Renfrew is accused of hit-and-run after the box truck he was driving struck a minivan parked on Franklin Street. Police later found the truck on Jackson Street parked in the YMCA parking lot.In addition to hit-and-run, police cited Oesterling for driving with a suspended license.
Sunday — Bryant Shealy, 22, of Grove City was arrested after he allegedly struck his 5-year-old stepdaughter about 11 p.m. July 16 at his Carrie Way apartment. The girl suffered a bruised right eye. She was treated at Grove City Medical Center. Police said Shealy faces charges of simple assault and child endangerment.8:37 p.m. July 15 — Jesse Lott, 28, of Grove City was arrested near the 100 block of South Broad Street where he was allegedly smoking marijuana during a work break. Police said he faces a charge of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.July 15 — Jesse Edmondson, 25, of Grove City was caught with suspected marijuana in an alley behind South Broad Street. Police said Edmondson faces a charge of possession of a small amount of marijuana.
Friday — Officers filed drug trafficking charges against Jeremy O. Watterson, 28, of Butler, stemming from an alleged drug deal March 14 in Butler Township.Watterson is accused of selling crack cocaine to a police informant on Bessemer Avenue in Lyndora, according to court documents.He is charged with delivery of a controlled substance, possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance.
Sunday — A red and white, 1989 Yamaha all-terrain vehicle was stolen from a home on Queens Junction Road in Clay Township. The ATV, valued at $760, was taken between Wednesday and Sunday.Sunday — An unknown thief stole about $500 worth of tools from the back of an unlocked pickup truck at the Sheetz parking lot on Main Street in Harrisville. Stolen was an 18-volt Dewalt cordless drill, Dewalt bit set and a large Craftsman socket set. The theft happened between 9:45 and 10:20 a.m.7:40 p.m. Saturday — A sport utility vehicle driven by Scott J. Lipke, 18, of Prospect struck a grass embankment and rolled over on Route 528, just west of Barkley Road in Brady Township.7 p.m. Saturday — Teresa A. Vasko allegedly shoplifted merchandise from three stores at the Clearview Mall in Center Township. Police said Vasko is charged with retail theft.10:20 a.m. Saturday — One person was hurt when cars driven by Deborah Diana, 47, of Bruin and Donna Stevens, 85, of Karns City collided on Route 68 in Fairview Township. Stevens, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital with minor injuries. Police said Diana was cited for making an improper left turn.Friday — Someone overnight dumped and spread garbage on the softball fields at Laura Doerr Park on Route 356 in Jefferson Township.10:36 p.m. Friday — A 17-year-old Eau Claire boy, who police did not identify, was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after he was stopped for speeding on Route 38 just north of Bill Morris Road in Washington Township.Friday — An unknown thief smashed out the driver's side window and stole a wallet, iPod Touch and Tom Tom global positioning unit from a car in a parking lot on Route 173 in Slippery Rock Township. The property, valued at $460, was taken between 11 p.m. Thursday and 10 a.m. Friday.Thursday — Seven sets of chains for a dual-wheel tractor-trailer were stolen from an unspecified location on Route 19 in Portersville. The property, worth about $2,800, was taken between July 18 and Thursday.July 15 — Police obtained an arrest warrant for Jasmine N. Smith, 24, of Parker, who is accused of forging the name of a dead woman on three checks that she cashed July 3 and 4 at Friedman's Market in Chicora.The suspect also ate and drank items from the store without paying for them, police said.A store manager confronted Smith when she allegedly tried to cash a forth forged check, but she fled and drove away in a blue Ford Taurus that had an expired license plate.Smith is charged with three counts each of forgery, theft by deception, receiving stolen property and retail theft.Anyone with information about Smith's whereabouts is asked to call police at 724-284-8100.July 14 — An unknown burglar destroyed several tool boxes after breaking into a garage/barn at VicNor Farms at Needle Point and Harmony roads in Forward Township. The burglary happened between 8 p.m. July 13 and 6 a.m. July 14.
11:48 a.m. Friday — Bridgette L. Davis, 37, of Parker was hurt when she swerved her car to avoid an animal on the road and struck a utility pole along Route 368 in Perry Township. The car rolled over three times before landing on its wheels. Davis, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken to Clarion Hospital with moderate injuries.
10:09 p.m. Saturday — Joseph M. Onoratti, 20, of Brockport, Elk County, was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence and possession of controlled substance and drug paraphernalia following a traffic stop on Route 28, near the Slate Lick exit in South Buffalo Township.
12:20 a.m. Sunday — Kayla Matthews, 19, of Harrisville was hurt when the vehicle she was driving crashed into a utility pole along Bradley Road, just north of Brown Road in Worth Township. Police said Matthew, who was wearing a seat belt and suffered unknown injuries, faces an unspecified ticket in the crash.
