Wednesday — Police filed felony and misdemeanor drug charges against three Butler young men stemming from a traffic stop at 7:47 p.m. June 28 on McQuistion Road.Donald Gibler, 20, of Butler, the driver, is charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, conspiracy, possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, driving under the influence of drugs, driving at an unsafe speed and careless driving.His passengers, Owen Barkley, 18, and Michael Ahrens, 19, both of Butler, are charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, conspiracy and possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.3:47 p.m. Sunday — Raymond N. Herold, 27, of Butler is accused of taking a $300 riding lawn mower from a residence on Atglen Street. Police said Herold faces charges of theft and receiving stolen property.
9:56 a.m. Tuesday — Kara J. Baxter, 19, of Butler was hurt when the car she was driving ran into a driveway ditch and several large rocks on Euclid Road near Helga Road in Clay Township. Baxter, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered minor injuries. Police said she was cited for careless driving.Tuesday — An unknown thief stole about 500 pounds of stainless steel scrap metal from PFC Metal on New Castle Road in Slippery Rock Township. The property, worth $500, was taken between 5 p.m. Monday and 6:30 a.m. Tuesday.2 p.m. Sunday — A 15-year-old Saxonburg girl is suspected of stealing a 2-month-old kitten from a Saxony Estates home on Red Oak Drive in Jefferson Township. Police did not identify the girl.July 10 — A metal bench and metal pipes were taken at an unspecified location on Victory Road in Clinton Township. A picnic table was also damaged and rubbish scattered on the same property. The stolen property is valued at $1,500.
Monday — A boat motor was stolen from a small boat along the Allegheny River in North Buffalo Township. The black, 9.9-horsepower motor, valued at $3,600, was taken between 4 p.m. Friday and 8:30 a.m. Monday.
