6:21 p.m. Friday — Michael F. Rinker, 62, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after his pickup allegedly struck three parked vehicles on Brown Avenue. Police also cited him for careless driving.Rinker, meanwhile, is already awaiting a preliminary hearing next month stemming from a drunken-driving arrest on May 19 in Butler, court records show.June 11 — About $500 worth of copper pipes were stolen from a home on Etna Street. The unknown thief apparently used a saw to cut the pipes.

7:50 p.m. Monday — Two teenagers were hurt when their sport utility vehicle crashed into a ditch on Dinnerbell Road in Jefferson Township. The driver, Alisha Sobotka, 19, and her passenger, Ashley Langston, 19, of Saxonburg, suffered minor injuries.Langston was treated at Butler Memorial Hospital. Both women were wearing seat belts. Police said Sobotka was cited for careless driving.4:05 p.m. Sunday — Lisa A. Righi, 47, of Saxonburg was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after her car struck an embankment and rolled onto its side at Saxonburg Boulevard near Thrower Lane in Clinton Township.2:56 a.m. Sunday — Gregory Young, 38, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of DUI at Route 8 and Decatur Drive<B><I> </B></I>in Butler Township.Sunday — Four people were arrested for drunken driving during a sobriety checkpoint on Route 8 in Center Township. In all, 60 vehicles were detained during the joint operation conducted by state police and the Butler County DUI Task Force.Sunday — A female pit bull or pit bull mix was found on Route 38 near the Trader Horn in Washington Township. The owners can claim the dog by calling the barracks at 724-284-8100.Saturday — A 25-year-old woman is suspected of stealing money and jewelry from two homes in the 600 block of Route 19 in Lancaster Township. The thefts occurred between 1:30 and 7:30 p.m. Saturday. Police said their investigation continues, and they have not identified the suspect.10:20 p.m. Friday — Douglas Brutout, no age given, of Freedom, Beaver County, was arrested for suspicion of DUI on Route 228 in Middlesex Township.

Saturday — A suspected burglar stole a vehicle after breaking into a garage at a home on Slate Lick-Cadogan Road in North Buffalo Township. Before leaving, however, the suspect, who police did not identify, poked nine holes in the bottom of the homeowner's above-ground swimming pool.The burglary, theft and vandalism occurred between 6 p.m. Friday and 11 a.m. Saturday.12:54 p.m. Thursday — A car driven by Ann B. Ferguson, no age given, of Freeport and a sport utility vehicle driven by Georgia L. Bowser, no age given, of Worthington collided on the Route 28 on-ramp at Slate Lick in South Buffalo Township. Ferguson was taken to an unspecified hospital with a moderate head injury.

2:15 a.m. Saturday — Cody P. Thompson, 22, of Jackson Center was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Route 58 at the Sheetz parking lot in Pine Township.12:45 a.m. June 12 — Two boys escaped from the George Junior Republic juvenile detention facility in Pine Township. Police said both boys were found the same day and returned to the facility.<B></B>
