Mary Bishop

Mary J. Bishop of Butler will celebrate her 90th birthday with a family dinner Monday at Garrett’s Place in Sarver.

The former Mary McFarland was born July 10, 1921, in Rossiter, Pa. She married Joseph M. Bishop on June 7, 1940, in Winchester, Va. He is deceased.

She has one daughter, Barbara Bishop of Butler.

Mrs. Bishop was employed at the Butler School District cafeteria, Troutman’s and at Bantam during World War II.

She is a member of the Woman’s Club of Butler and the Tanglewood Center.

Mrs. Bishop belongs to Hill United Presbyterian Church, where she is an Elder, Deacon and Sunday school teacher.
