Steve A. Nemeth
Steve A. Nemeth, 85, of Lyndora passed away at 3:30 p.m. Monday at the VA Butler Healthcare Hospice.
He was born March 9, 1926, in Butler, to the late Steve A. Nemeth and Elizabeth Nemeth.
Mr. Nemeth served in the U.S. Army in Germany during World War II, earning five medals.
He worked as a wheel works and crane operator for Armco for 40 years, retiring in 1984.
He enjoyed family, fishing, hunting and gardening.
Mr. Nemeth is survived by his wife, Josephine (Marchinoski) Nemeth, who he married Jan. 21, 1950; two sons, Steven F. Nemeth of Lyndora and Douglas Nemeth and his wife, Linda G., of Butler; three daughters, Linda Duffy and her husband, Dennis, Darlene Mitchell and her husband, Bill, and Terre Gray and her husband, Kevin, all of Butler; 14 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; a number of nieces and nephews; and his best friends, Pete and Doris Hrip.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers and four sisters.
<B>NEMETH</B> — Friends of Steve A. Nemeth, who died Monday, May 30, 2011, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the <B>Thompson-Miller Funeral Home</B>, 124 E. North St., Butler. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home with Pastor Daniel Ledford of the Westminister Presbyterian Church in America officiating.
