Lillian L. Miller

Lillian L. Miller, 85, of Butler passed away at 3:30 p.m. Sunday at the Lowrie House.

She was born Jan. 31, 1926, in Gibsonia, to the late Charles Croskey and Grace (Miller) Croskey.

In her earlier years, Mrs. Miller worked for the Spaide Shirt Factory. She also was a receptionist for Dr. D.L. Cribbs. Mrs. Miller also was a former secretary for Hetrick Heating and Roofing and for Cunningham Shanor Plumbing and Heating.

She was a Protestant.

Mrs. Miller enjoyed sewing, playing cards with her family and friends, and doing crossword and jigsaw puzzles.

Mrs. Miller is survived by two sons, Thomas N. Miller and his wife, Lynne, of Murrysville and William L. Miller and wife, Donna, of Seven Fields; three grandsons, Tim Miller, Steve Miller and Andrew Miller; one granddaughter, Melinda Miller; one twin sister, Mrs. Grace Leight of Glenshaw; and also by a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, T. Norris “Norrie” Miller, who she married Feb. 24, 1944, and who passed away April 10, 2003; three sisters; and four brothers.

<B>MILLER </B>— Friends of Lillian L. Miller, who died Sunday, May 29, 2011, will be received at the <B>Thompson-Miller Funeral Home</B>, 124 E. North St., Butler, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. Matthew Perkin of the New Beginning Free Methodist Church officiating. Burial will take place in the Butler County Memorial Park.Online condolences can be submitted at www.thompson-miller.com.
